Not sure where to put this question - As the title says, can ExpertWiFi routers be used with non-ExpertWiFi routers in a mesh/AP scenario, specifically, do I get the same level of integration as using two non-ExpertWiFi routers in a main/mesh or main/AP scenario? This would be for a...
I picked up an Amazon Resale BE58U that arrived today. I can get past the setup, but then I can't logon after that. It does not accept the wifi password (which is entirely numeric), and it keeps rebooting. Resetting it with the reset button and/or the WPS reset method gets me back to the...
I tried unsuccessfully to post the Routing Table from the server side. I'll try again.
I can and do routinely interact with devices across the VPN connection by using their local IP address.
My primary desire is to prevent devices in a specific IP range on the server side from participating...
Before we continue with trying to configure OVPN to accomplish this, can I accomplish the same thing by using firewall-start IP tables on the client side which is a GT-AX6000 running Asusmerlin?
This relates to the question I asked a few days about about using firewall-start on stock firmware. Asusmerlin no longer supports the AC68U, but Asus keeps cranking up updated stock firmwares for the AC68U. The only feature that I really use for Asusmerlin on my AC68U is firewall-start to...
I have been using firewall-start to block a specific IP range on the server side of my site-to-site OVPN connections from reaching the client side. Is there a way to implement this directly in OVPN, either on the server side or client side configurations?
On the US Amazon site, the BE58U is among the highest rated ASUS routers. Only 7% 1-star reviews and 74% 5-star reviews. I think this beats all current ASUS BE routers. Whether it makes sense to purchase is another story. Currently $98 on US Amazon. Next cheapest ASUS BE is the BE86U going...
I see your point in that most ASUS routers have approx 10% 1-star reviews, but the BE86U is up at 22% 1-star reviews. Maybe more people are trying the BE86U because its among the least expensive ASUS BE routers right now.
There are a very large number of 1- and 2-star reviews on Amazon for the RT-BE86U. Lots of DOA and malfunctioning routers out-of-the box. However, I don't see many people complaining about it on this forum
I was looking for a list of devices supporting Merlin 3006, and the only place I could find it was in the README-merlin.txt file. I couldn't find it anywhere obvious on the Merlin website.
