Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.5 Beta is now available

Went from 102.5a2 to 102.5b3 this morning. No issues so far with my main/AP GT-AX6000 combo.

Shelly IoT Devices (Switches) Drop off Network with kernel 'not mesh client, can't delete it' messages

So, for my AX86U Pro main/AP combo, both of the isolated SDNs are on 2.4 GHz, and I have both SDNs setup on the main and AP routers. Each SDN is on its own subnet, and is deselected from communicating other networks. I also have the AP Isolated option selected. These two options only exist on...

Shelly IoT Devices (Switches) Drop off Network with kernel 'not mesh client, can't delete it' messages

The error message gives the impression that there is some attempt by the mesh system or the devices to switch to a node, so I wonder if the issue would occur if you turned off the nodes. That aside, I didn't realize there was a limit on the number of SDNs that could be created. At my cabin, I...

Shelly IoT Devices (Switches) Drop off Network with kernel 'not mesh client, can't delete it' messages

If your satellite routers are etherneted to your main router, have you tried running the satellite routers in AP mode rather than AI mesh mode? I'm tossing that out there because I've got two locations running satellites in AP mode, and its been 100% stable at both locations.

Intermittent connection problems with my RT-AX86U Pro

I guess I'll add that periodic dropped internet connections is commonly associated with poor cable signal quality. What typically happens is that the modem is unable to maintain a connection to the plant, so the modem has to renegotiate a connection. Thus, you may see the status lights on your...

Intermittent connection problems with my RT-AX86U Pro

Since you've already tried two modems, seems very likely to be a signal quality issue somewhere in the Spectrum lines. Unfortunately, I don't think its possible for end-users to log into that modem to see signal status information, so you are stuck with whatever the Spectrum techs tell you...

    [ 3006.102.5 alpha Build(s) ] available build(s)

Same for me for GT-AX6000 main/AP combo. From a wifi router functionality perspective, everything is working fine.

    Best range?

I've got four that never failed me. Now gathering dust. Bigger issue is that this router is EOL. Somehow, ASUS keeps cranking out updated firmwares for this router, but that could end at any time. At this point in time its either an AX or BE router, IMO. My GT-AX6000s are at the top of the...

    Best range?

Going from RT-AC86U to RT-AX86U Pro resulted in noticeably reduced 2.4 GHz range with my phone. This was especially true when comparing AC to AC performance, but even when running the AX86U Pro in AX mode for the 2.4 GHz band and my phone connecting with 2.4 GHz AX, range was still less than...

    [ 3006.102.5 alpha Build(s) ] available build(s)

At my cabin where my AX86U Pros (and a TP-Link EAP610 Outdoor AP) are setup, I've noticed significantly improved wifi roaming behavior compared to 3004. My phone much more readily jumps to the more favorable AP. No change to any of the router or AP settings. The complication for this...

    [ 3006.102.5 alpha Build(s) ] available build(s)

Just upgraded my AX86U Pro main/AP combo from 3004.388.4 to this firmware. Zero issues. All settings preserved. VPN works. IoT network works (although now on a different subnet). Manual DHCP assignments remained. Connected USB drives work and still have the correct permissions. This was as...

Does this have the updated SDN setup like in Expert WiFi?

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.4 is now available

What would you see for 3004 with it set to "LAN only" or "LAN & WAN"? For 3004 set to "LAN only" is it open only on ports other than eth0? And for 3006 set to "LAN only", what's stopping it from being open to the internet? The built-in firewall?

That kind of CPU usage sometimes happens for a short period right after a reboot and/or after a FW upgrade. Does the CPU usage persist?
