This is a very weird update. First time ever it only saints to update the node that’s connect to the WAN, no of the other nodes. Should I update or wait?
Usually I update immediately, but since all nodes are identical and it only wants to update the WAN node I’m skeptical if this Firmware...
Thanks for posting. Thus update is not working for me. We have the newest MBPros with M1 Max/Pro chipsets, and they fail to connect to the correct node. Performance is useless. We also observed this with other Apple and non-Apple devices but less frequently. We downloaded and installed the beta...
Installed it, no issues. Also issues I had with MacBook Pros not able to hold a connection with 43181 is gone. Everything is stable 22 devices (router: 15 wireless: 2.4 - 4, 5 - 11, 2 Ethernet: 2; node: 7 wireless: 2.4 - 2, 5 - 5, 2 Ethernet: 0)
As far as I know.
Go to https://www.asus.com/Networking-IoT-Servers/Whole-Home-Mesh-WiFi-System/ZenWiFi-WiFi-Systems/ASUS-ZenWiFi-AX-XT8-/HelpDesk_BIOS/
download the firmware.
on the computer login to the router GUI, under settings go to firmware update. Select manual update (or something...
Hi all,
my ASUS XT8 always had a great signal -72db. All of a sudden the signal quality deteriorated to weak (-59db). I didn’t change anything, not the firmware, no settings were changed and I didn’t move the router or the node. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this. I connected them with a...
So should we update to 43170 or is it best to stick to 43095? Last time I messed around for hours after an update, this time I don’t feel like being ASUS’ guinea pig.
I wrote Asus awhile back that their firmware has severe issues with Sonos, and other devices such as IP cams on the 2.4GHz WiFi band and that the last Firmware version that worked was Firmware Version: 3.0.0.4.386_25790 and ever since they introduced an issue. I only received a standard email...
I thought about that too, but just out of principle I don't see a point investing in more hardware to fix an issue caused by Asus messing up. It would be a different story if I'd have a larger Sonos system, but for now I am driving two Play 1.
If the same issues persist there is no need for further testing, Asus has not fixed it.
Thanks for testing, I guess I keep staying away from the update.
Bahaha I had the same issue was looking at the page for awhile to see this little expand button. Dear ASUS I’m a UX designer looking for a job :p (j/k)
