Beta Bluecave beta firmware released Version 9.0.0.4.386.41994 Beta Version 2021/02/02

In my case, all wireless or wired devices connected to Blue Cave will get the same first 3 Hex values (which will also change after restarting) in the MAC Address. So, basically using DHCP assigned IP is impossible. It's pretty obvious in the table when a few devices having the same prefix in...

Beta Bluecave beta firmware released Version 9.0.0.4.386.41994 Beta Version 2021/02/02

Saw you're using Blue Cave as AiMesh, have you noticed that Blue Cave altered the MAC address of devices connected wired or wirelessly to it? (My setup was wireless AiMesh, not sure if it's the same with ethernet backahul) e.g. MAC address shown up in main router is different if connected...

Beta Bluecave beta firmware released Version 9.0.0.4.386.41994 Beta Version 2021/02/02

No. Blue Cave uses Intel chips, while most Asus routers including AC68U use Broadcom chips. I believe the new update, as said in the description, is just a quick patch for DNSmasq vulnerabilities.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

If it's just me, since updated to 40024, the connection between router and nodes of my 3xAC68 mesh is much worse than before.

Issues with latest Blue Cave firmware?

I've used that and it's equal to "no feedback". And there was no email confirmation if they received that or not.

DHCP assigned IP issue with Blue Cave as AiMesh router

Gave it last try before returning it. Downgraded it to older firmware (4/2019) but it has the same DHCP assigned IP issue when running AiMesh main router. Also, I have been running Blue Cave as AiMesh node since last time and found out the same issue can also happen if it's running as AiMesh...

Issues with latest Blue Cave firmware?

The Chinese Merlin is based on the Asus firmware with added features, it's based on Merlin (I appreciate the author's effort, but he shouldn't hijack the Merlin name). So, if there is problem with Asus firmware, it will likely be still there.

    Sold Out

Exactly I think. By the time there are more Wifi 6 devices, and likely jump to Wifi 6e, the Wifi 6 router becomes

DHCP assigned IP issue with Blue Cave as AiMesh router

All router and nodes are connected wirelessly for now, but don't think that's the cause as using 68U as router has no DHCP problem. The house, just moved in a few months ago, is not wired yet, planning to do so in a few weeks. That's the reason I'm preparing for that. The cable modem, so the...

DHCP assigned IP issue with Blue Cave as AiMesh router

I mean the manual assigned IP table in DHCP setup. They are the same device. 9C:8E:CD:25:DB:B3 is the actual MAC and 192.168.74.53 is the IP in the assigned table. DA:50:E6:25:DB:B3 is the modified MAC when connected to a node, dynamic pool starts from 74.100 DA:50:E6 is the same for all...

DHCP assigned IP issue with Blue Cave as AiMesh router

Every routers have been reset... and multiple times (it has to be reset to join the mesh) I have even made 2 mesh to test in turn ([Blue Cave -> 68U] and [68U -> 68U]), all have the same DHCP pool. With 68U as router, all devices that have manual IP got their IPs from the manual pool regardless...

DHCP assigned IP issue with Blue Cave as AiMesh router

I just got a Blue Cave to replace an RT-AC68U as main router in a 3x RT-AC68U AiMesh. Then I'm seeing issue in getting manually assigned IP from DHCP: 1. if the devices are connected to the Blue Cave (main), they get the assigned IP 2. if the devices are connected to the other nodes, they get...
