Got it. Thanks for the clarification. I'm mainly interested in this because I try to put cloud accessible devices/appliances onto the guest wifi when they don't need intranet access. I thought isolating these devices from each other wouldn't be a bad idea either.
OK, I'll try it.
But just to be clear, I am trying to isolate guest network clients from one another. "Access Intranet = No" already seems to be blocking guest network clients from accessing the non-guest network clients connected to the router. So my assumption had been that is was working...
I've done a lot of searching and reading but I haven't been able to figure out a clear answer to this question. I have an RT-AC68U router running 378.55 (because it's stable and I haven't needed to upgrade).
I'd like to be able to prevent clients on the guest wifi from being able to communicate...
What I think rmerlin is saying is that this particular error page gets displayed from cache any time the router isn't responsive, regardless of the reason. So now if anything causes the router not to respond, whether you reconfigured the router, or if the router is simply hung or something...
FWIW, since I'm the OP, just an update: I'm running Merlin .33 beta 5 and my RT-AC66U is now rock solid. I haven't seen that "settings have changed" page in a long time and the router isn't spontaneously rebooting anymore. I've had as much as 14 days of continuous uptime prior to a manual...
I'm not positive, but it is indeed possible that this latest issue started with the upgrade to Merlin .32. Seems like this is a recent thing that several folks are experiencing.
I did, and I don't seem to have an conflicting networks nearby. I generally notice an issue when my streaming audio device stops playing. If I jump onto my computer at that point, frequently I will notice no wifi connectivity for a few seconds and then it comes back. Sometimes I can see from...
Hi,
I purchased an RT-AC66U a couple of months ago and it has been fairly unstable. It was dropping connections and/or rebooting fairly often (1x daily or more).
I switched to the Merlin firmware in order to see if it helped. I like the additional features, but it doesn't seem to be helping...
