    My AX86S also does similar being used as a Mesh node, previous AC86U also was useless with continual wifi issues needing a reboot all the time to clear it for a few days.

    I've not checked on the IP address allocation before but with the private MAC enabled on iOS it would cause a temporary loss of connectivity when hopping between the different mesh AP's.     It's not a great implementation, it will hang on to the router it's connected to until the signal drops to nearly nothing before connecting to the stronger node in my experience so far.
