So after the recent asd memory leak fiasco, I added a thumb drive to my AC5300 and created a swap drive there. I went to edit /etc/fstab, and found an empty file, so now I'm wondering whats the right way to add the swap on reboot and make sure it happens AFTER the USB drive is automounted...

FWIW: I saw the issue on both my AC5300 and AC68U (the later in AP mode) with the latest ASUS images. Reflashed both routers with Merlin 386.11 last night. No problems over the last 12 hours. Note, I didn't need to do a NVRAM reset. Configs were untouched and are working fine.

FWIW: It hit both my AC5300 and my AC68U running in AP mode. asd sucking up all memory and crashing the system. Discovered Merlin tonight and reflashed with the latest release builds. Looking good for now. BTW: What is asd supposed to do?

Mine started crashing today. Runs out of memory in about 30 minutes and crashes soon after that. Running top right now and watching the "asd" process suck up all the memory. If you kill it, it auto-restarts and you gain yourself another 20 minutes or so! 😁 I found Merlin and this site...
