    Magical R7800, can someone explain?

I want to use Router + Extender. Would be awesome to dedicate one band to backhaul, but R7800 has only two bands. Should I look at the other vendors? Should I ignore the dual-band thing and pretend that band sharing will not be a problem? Or perhaps R8xxx issues have been solved already? Or...

    Magical R7800, can someone explain?

Hi, so I want to update my home wifi to AC. I reaaaally like the performance reviews of Orbi, but I'm kinda geeky so like meddling with configurations and have some weird requirements like VPNs, and so on, so I would prefer to go router + extender. So I tried to research the routers. I don't...

Netgear Orbi vs two routers over a cable

Hi, can someone please enlighten me: Netgear Orbi seems to be just two routers with WiFi backhaul connection. Wouldn't two simple routers with a cable between them be cheaper and better, provided you have the cabling? Also, wouldn't Orbi be hurt by issues most client devices have when roaming...

Are there any 4x4 802.11ac miniPCIe cards available?

Hm, so basically, any laptop is mostly limited to 2:2 256QAM 400/1733 link rates for 2,45Ghz and 5Ghz? Everything else is just a theory, because, I guess, the 1024QAM clients are unavailable aswell?

Are there any 4x4 802.11ac miniPCIe cards available?

Hi, Are there any? I know that most laptops don't even have 4x4 antennas to begin with, but still? Second question: the dells I have seem to have 3x3 antennas, so are there good 3x3 cards readily available? Thanks.

HomePlug: different networks in same house?

    What if it's 4 adapters? Enter password to 2-4 on #1, or 2-4 on #1; 1, 3, 4 on #2 etc?

HomePlug: different networks in same house?

Hm, this: http://www.tp-link.us/faq-258.html says that it should be done by "network name". It also talks about passwords, but you can only set a password for a remote device. So if I connect via A, then it does not allow me to enter password for A, only for B and C. So if I enter password for...

HomePlug: different networks in same house?

Hi, two questions: a) is it possible to have two separate networks in the same house using homeplug? b) if so, does it hurt performance? I have my WAN antenna at the roof and no lan cable going downwards. Atm there is a router at the antena, and its LAN port is connected to one HomePlug...
