Thank you Voxel for keeping the R9000 up to date! Question, is there a way to make the WebIF use https? I get a certificate error and the ui does not load. I have to use http.
Thanks in advance 🙏
Beta seems to work fine for me - RT-AC3100 in router mode behind ISP router. Using adaptive qos set at manual 130/100mb/s to create a low latency network for work. Also have an RT-AC68u in media bridge mode hanging off the 5ghz network.
Thanks Merlin for all of your excellent work! 🙏
Yes I understand that, but this router is only in AP mode, and eventually it will stop responding…usually around the 60 day mark. I’ll most likely do a factory reset once 386.12 is released…
Something I’ve seen with 386.11 at least on my RT-AC3100 is that at about 50 days of uptime, memory is almost maxed. It will be interesting to see if the same thing happens on 386.12. So far all good, upgraded a few days ago. I need to flash the alpha1 released today, but everything is smooth...
Can confirm reset to default and fresh flash that I cannot reach the webui, the router does respond to pings though. (AC68U and AC3100)
However, upgrades without a reset are fine. Have two media bridges and an AP working fine.
Thank you for your hard work Merlin!
Too bad. I had hoped for one more release for the ac3100 since they released one for the ac68u. There is still DD-WRT and fresh tomato though to tide me over. I have an edgerouter, so I’m not using them as the main router, just APs and bridges.
I have routers that are running media bridge mode from both versions, 386.5_2 and 386.7 with no issue. (AC68u and AC3100). I would suggest a WPS reset and then setup manually again. It should allow you to use dhcp or static IP address for the router during setup.
Update from 386.5_2 went well. Had issues with some iot devices reconnecting, but reboots solved them. Up and running for about a day with no issues. With 386.5_2, the wireless would randomly die. Sometimes within a few hours, other times - weeks or more. Interested to see how this version...
