    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

After many hours of struggle and reading these forums until it has almost driven me mad I am now seeking help from anyone able to do so. I have an Asus AC-88U running the Merlin v382.1 firmware. My WAN DNS settings are 84.200.69.80 and 84.200.70.40. IPv6 and dns filtering are both off. I have...

    AC88-U OpenVPN Log

I believe BlackVPN has moved to OpenVPN 2.4

    AC88-U OpenVPN Log

I can't remember, but it has been discussed in these forums, it is something to do with how it uses the DNS servers. I have "Accept DNS Configuration" set to Exclusive and I always connect to the BlackVPN name server. You should also make sure your normal router DNS is se to something other than...

    AC88-U OpenVPN Log

Hi You should not be seeing these error lines. "Options error: --up script fails with '/etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf': No such file or directory" is only used on pure unix/Linux systems as far as I know and the references to up and down scripts must be lurking somewhere in your...

    AC88-U OpenVPN Log

I have been through this with BlackVPN on my RT-AC88U and at last I have it working very well, largely no thanks to BlackVPN support. First of all I am assuming you are using their Privacy package, though I suspect the setup is much the same for the others. I am also assuming you are running the...

    AC88-U OpenVPN Log

The one thing I don't like about BlackVPN is the lack of choice in the security settings, but I have to say that on my iMac I usually get close to maximum speed on both single thread and multi-thread download tests. The speeds via the router VPN client are lower and obviously limited by the...

    AC88-U OpenVPN Log

Thanks for the quick response. I presume the tunnel stays up during this process. I also run Viscosity on my iMac for better speeds using the same configuration (different BlackVPN server) and I don't see these messages in the Viscosity log.

    AC88-U OpenVPN Log

I have an issue with OpenVPN connected to BlackVPN on my AC88U. It is an annoyance more than anything else but I hate it when I can't explain what is happening. Anyway my config file is: remote vpn.blackvpn.lu 443 udp nobind dev tun redirect-gateway def1 persist-tun persist-key comp-lzo...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

I have exactly the same experience. My policy rules are simple 192.168.1.0/24 0.0.0.0 VPN and a few of the form 192.168.1.x 0.0.0.0 WAN This is reproducible

Active IPv6 influences IPv4 speed test

I have finally solved a problem that has been bugging me for some time, but I can't explain why my solution has any bearing on it. I have an AC88-U connected to a Billion 8800AXL acting as just a modem. My LAN comprises a few devices connected to the router by ethernet and some by wireless on...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

I have had similar issues with IPv6 on my AC88-U. I have also experienced other problems where just having IPv6 activated influences IPv4 single thread speed tests, but I will post on that in a separate topic. I should add that this is using the current release version of Merlin, not this beta...

[BETA] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 Beta 1 is now available

I don't know if this is relevant, but I find on my AC88U running Merlin 380.58 or stock firmware, it is often the case that making changes to things like wireless setting necessitate a router reboot to get IPv6 working again.
