[2x Cisco RV220W] Site-2-site VPN works only in one direction?

thanks for the tip! I actually finally found the answer to this issue; as it turns out i had the freak situation where a firmware bug seemed to cause the issue. Specifically for the RV220W, firmware version 1.0.1.0 contained a bug where, if you used Agressive mode for the site-to-site VPN...

[2x Cisco RV220W] Site-2-site VPN works only in one direction?

A few months have passed and I still haven't figured it out; I've changed the IP range on Network B to 10.1.1.x, subnet is still the same. I have also tried changing the subnet to 255.255.255.128 but I get the exact same results. Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction...

[2x Cisco RV220W] Site-2-site VPN works only in one direction?

Hello everyone! For the purpose of a remote backup between 2 QNAP NAS devices, I have setup a site to site VPN using 2 Cisco RV220W routers. Although VPN connects just fine, I can only access Network B from network A, but not the other way around. I believe it could be related to ip...

    Cannot find unSLUNG NSLU2

Update: Never mind! :) I had saved a link to the NSLU2 telnet server in PUTTY, guess I did not try all the logical IP addresses, as I assigned 192.168.1.99! :D Hey people, I seem to have a little problem with my old NSLU2. Here's my setup: Linksys NSLU2 running Unslung firmware 6.x Two WD...

Pulling ahead of the RAID 5 Pack: QNAP TS-509 Pro Reviewed

Ordered my QNAP and new switch yesterday, hope to receive everything this week! :) (QNAP wasn't in stock in any of the online stores I use regularly, so might take a few days...) I will post my experiences here! Thanks for all the help everyone provided; it convinced me this was the right unit...

Pulling ahead of the RAID 5 Pack: QNAP TS-509 Pro Reviewed

I haven't purchased a switch yet, but I was looking at the NETGEAR GS108T smart switch (announced on SNB here), which is supposed to support LACL (802.3ad). Netgear product link here. Not sure if this is a fan-less design or not though... 8 ports would be sufficient (for the switch) combined...

Pulling ahead of the RAID 5 Pack: QNAP TS-509 Pro Reviewed

Thanks again for all the info, very useful stuff! :) So if I understand correctly, even if I let the 100Mbit router function as DHCP server in the network, traffic on the 1Gbit switch will not be dragged down to 100Mbit? I'm not an expert on this stuff, just trying to learn! :)

Pulling ahead of the RAID 5 Pack: QNAP TS-509 Pro Reviewed

lol, apply for a job! :p I have another question. I'm planning on using the load-balancing feature on the QNAP, hooking it up to a 802.3ad (Link Aggregation capable) switch. My new motherboard also has dual gigabit connections that support Link Aggregation, so I'm hoping to get blazing fast...

I am also looking to buy this unit due to the positive messages I've read here and elsewhere on the web. However, I would some more info on some other area: remote access. I've been dragging around portable harddrives for years, have had private FTP servers running, had tried (partial) online...
