Interesting issue with AIMesh - with personal resolution

Apologies, I posted this in the wrong sub-section, this belongs under ASUSWRT-Merlin. I've reported my post (as I can't delete it), to be moved over to the correct sub-section. Also, to note, I'm running 384.13_0 on both devices.

Interesting issue with AIMesh - with personal resolution

Quick overview of my setup before I carry on with the problem, and what fixed the issue (configuration, more on that later). I have an AX88U which is my primary router, and an older AC68U. I recently dabbled with the idea of putting all my IOT devices onto the guest network and limit access to...

AC-68U wifi decent, AX88U is pretty dire

The plot thickens. I borrowed my partners S9, and that had 229 down 35 up. So, oddly, it might actually be the phone that has issues. Tested with laptop downstairs, 350 down 35 up. So, I think I've nailed down where the issue lies. I'll do some more testing, but if it IS the phone, again, why...

AC-68U wifi decent, AX88U is pretty dire

Quick explanation of topology setup: Cable modem > AX88U > cat7 ethernet cable > AC68U I have both routers set up on a fibre connection with 550 down / 35 up, the 68U being used just as an access point and a switch for devices near my PC. Please note: I disable/enable wifi on either of the...

    RT-AX88U snmpd - mini Guide

This is great, thank you. I was just looking for the SNMP settings, as I swore that my AC68U had it (and it does), but they stripped it out of this AX88U model for some reason.

Asus RT-N68U high cpu usage during game scan

RMerlin, This was bang on the money. This fixed it, appreciate all the help folks! I'll go back and turn QoS back on :)

Asus RT-N68U high cpu usage during game scan

Hi Colin. No, I don't use a VPN client, nor server (on the router). I even tried disabling QoS in case that was a likely culprit. No dice. Still kills the internet for all connected devices while the game scans for servers. I think it's a unique connections per second problem, but I don't know...

Asus RT-N68U high cpu usage during game scan

Updated to 380.67 (latest merlin build), issue persists.

Asus RT-N68U high cpu usage during game scan

Also, to confirm, this testing is done via Wired, not wireless. Reproducible 100% of the time. Run a server scan, 100% Core1 usage. EDIT: Or, am I hitting a windows limit on the number of connections I can have open, since the box will be pinging hundreds of servers at the same time, and the...

Asus RT-N68U high cpu usage during game scan

EDIT: AC68U, not N68U as per title, I can't change it. I'll try to provide as much info here as I can, if I'm missing anything, please do let me know, but it should be somewhat self-explanatory. The problem I'm having, when one of my games (Dark & Light), does a scan for unofficial servers...
