    No nothing is attached . There "was" a USB disc attached a while ago , but I had to remove it. Would that be the cause? If so, how do I remove these errors etc?

    That didnt help much to be honest. Shows the following : LAN 4 1 1000 Full Duplex B0:93:5B:B4:XX:XX LAN 5 (RTK) NA Unplugged <unknown> LAN 6 (RTK) NA 1000 Mbps <unknown> LAN 7 (RTK) NA Unplugged <unknown> LAN 8 (RTK) NA Unplugged <unknown> Everything else is working OK.

    And magically they reappear after some time.... this router seems to be full of flakyness. I also lost ethernet ports 5-8 :-(

    Set values in the QOS , Manual Settings for Bandwith . Then set it back to Automatic. All the stupid errors disappear like magic.

    I wanted to add 2 port forwarding rules for QNAP (ports 8083 and 8084) , which i did in ASUS and applied. The QNAP diagnostics shows ones i added a couple of days ago and not the 2 new ones. Therefore the ASUS "apply" did not take effect.

    VPN Recommendations

    Hi everyone, I am using a VPN provider (PrivateVPN) but am noticing that VPN recovery isnt too good if the tunnel disconnects. What are the best VPNs around (at reasonable cost) that you would recommend? I dont want to block internet access if the tunnel drops (wife would go crazy!!). Nick

    [AC-88U] Lan port 5-8 no longer functional

    I have the same issue, but the port actually operates ok. just plugged in laptop cable and all is good. But, my general level of cofidence on the 88U is dropping. Day 1 of purchase I"lost" the 2.4G Wifi band Day 2 is see this same issue with ports indicating down. Been monitoring Wifi...

    OK, new to this router so have a couple of basic questions. 1. How do I get rid of "vpn client" entries? I have ended up with duplicate profiles, so want to tidy up. 2. The Web access to VPN clients can seem to become incredibly slow. Is this a known problem? Nick
