    Seeking advice on RAID setup

Have committed to Netgear so Synology and Qnap are not options for me right now. Perhaps in the future. I am aware both these brands seem to be the favourite here.

    Seeking advice on RAID setup

Thanks, the more I learn about NAS the less I want to use it. Just seemed very hard to deploy unless I sink money into it. But I have data I could not lose.

How to block internet access for IP range

For sure my DHCP pool is outside manually assigned IP. I can't explain it but that is how it is configured on my router. TP-Link router I had before permitted huge subnet (think I set it to have 65k IP addresses) but don't think my RT-AC86U can do the same. I usually disable my guest network...

Hi, I understand now what you are saying. Bugger thought I had this figured out!

How to block internet access for IP range

The higher limit is due to YazDHCP and I think the limit changes in response to the number of IP reservations. I started with only 128 limit and it went up to 176. Very happy with that. What I wanted to achieve is to control DHCP automatically assigned devices which range from 192.168.1.192-254...

How to block internet access for IP range

My DHCP IP pool starts from 192.168.1.200 to 254. I manually assign IP addresses to known devices up to 192.168.1.199. So any unknown devices including guests will be assigned with IP 192.168.1.200 and above. Is it possible to use firewall to block IP range 192.168.1.200-254?

    DHCP max limit 176

Happy to have more than 128 reservations

    DHCP max limit 176

Was just looking at my settings and noted the limit is 176? Last time I checked was 128. How did that happened? Note that I am not complaining but just curious.

ASUS routers with at least 128 manually assigned IPs

Maybe so but I lack the prior knowledge to understand what has been posted. Like I said I am too dumb to figure all out.

ASUS routers with at least 128 manually assigned IPs

Hi yes all mixed up. I wanted to create a second less-secure network but could not resolve how to control the Linksys router of the second network from the first network (behind RT-AC86U). I am just too dumb to fugure out how :)

ASUS routers with at least 128 manually assigned IPs

I suppose th eusual - computers, mobile phones, portable devices, IoTs. With reserve IPs I know what device is on my setwork and ability to control internet usage. I am reading up mac access control too.
