    AC88u weird WAN disconnected bug

Hi all, Had a similar issue to the one described in the "WAN disconnect" thread, but also different enough so that I am opening a separate thread. I have an AC88u (i.e., non HND) running Merlin 386.5_2, it's connected via a 1Gbps WAN connection to a fiber connection, using PPPoE for...

    system log shows old data

I cleared that log ( https://www.snbforums.com/threads/system-log-does-not-stay-cleared-after-a-reboot.46581/) and still get it. this time, I logged in directly to the log and saw it update in real time to May 5 and log a few items. It seems that the default clock is always Jan 11... Now the...

    system log shows old data

Hi everyone. When I reboot the router (AC88U running merlin 386.3_2), I always get the same error log from January. Lots of errors like: Jan 10 18:38:50 dnsmasq[2036]: failed to send packet: Operation not permitted Jan 10 18:38:50 dnsmasq[2036]: failed to send packet: Operation not permitted...

    AC88U with 386.4 - DHCP lost after a day

weird, but this time the issue occurred after a week. I SSH'd in and saw no dnsmasq or other curious activities. Devices just started to lose the ability to get DHCP. Rolled back to 3_2

    AC88U with 386.4 - DHCP lost after a day

so far, so good. More than 24h without a problem, but I do think that dnsmasq is probably at fault here and that it's a matter of time before this occurs again. Wouldn't it be better to rollout a new version with a prior version?

    AC88U with 386.4 - DHCP lost after a day

Removed the spaces and will check dnsmasq next time. but assuming it is the issue, I obviously don't want to issue that command daily... how do you check if dnsmasq is the root cause, by running top?

    AC88U with 386.4 - DHCP lost after a day

Hi, after a dirty update, I got the unit to work fine with 386.4 without any noticeable hitch. However, after about 24 hours, the network started to fail. I found out that the clients that used fixed IP (there are a few, that hard wire their IP address to the same one as bound to by DHCP fixed...
