Oh hell yeah, I'm loving my Synology RT2600AC, and my Netgear Nighthawk S8000 8-port Gaming Switch . I have not looked back at the Asus ROG Rapture ever since. In Battlefield 1 with the ROG Rapture my ping was between 38-41, but with the Synology RT2600AC my ping is now 17-20.
I gave up, and returned my final Rapture for a full refund. I'm done beta testing these duds. Now I'm looking at the SYNOLOGY RT2600ac, and the Netgear X10 R9000.

I had to try it a couple of times before it actually worked for each of the older firmware, but did you set the router to restoration mode by unplugging the router, and then you press & hold the reset button while holding the reset button plug the router back in then wait for about 10 to 15...
I already tried all that before with routers 2-6, and nothing worked. You would have to force the firmware with the ASUS Firmware Restoration tool. https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/ROG-Rapture-GT-AC5300/HelpDesk_Download/
