    Is Unifi worth the upgrade?

To be clear, these will be two buildings connected by fiber optic. The first building has three floors, and the second two floors. In total, there will be approximately 10-12 APs. The cost of devices for U6+ and U7-lite is the same. This is a small company – about 20 employees using the network...

    Is Unifi worth the upgrade?

As I mentioned, I'm not concerned about speed. I know how it works. I'll be using 40MHz channels. Traffic is primarily local. The U6+ and U7-lite are the same price.

    Is Unifi worth the upgrade?

Yes. If it were an upgrade, I wouldn't bother either. However, it's a completely new location with no APs. I need to buy a new U6+ or U7-Lite. I think I'll go with U7-Lite.

    Is Unifi worth the upgrade?

What are your experiences with WiFi 7 APs? I'm planning to install UCG-Fiber with about 10 APs. I'm hesitating between U6+ and U7 Lite. Which do you think is the better choice? I'm not concerned about speed (I plan to limit the channels on the 5GHz radio to 40MHz anyway), but about stability and...

    RT-AX59U & TUF AX4200 (MediaTek Filogic 830)

Both have the same chip (radio 3x3:2), different antennas. The power of the radio is limited by regulations anyway. If you can return them, you can test both models at your place of use to see which one works best for you.

    Upgrading from RT-AX56U

Regular updates are required due to numerous bugs that require fixing in new firmware 3006. I have GT-AX6000 running the same firmware (3004.388.8.4) as RT-AX56U to avoid issues with the 3006 firmware... Of course, you can buy a new BE router – there's a chance for longer support. The RT-AX56U...

    Upgrading from RT-AX56U

There's no need to replace RT-AX56U. I have several installations with RT-AX56U and they work stably. I'm not aware of any security bugs that require fixing.

    RT-AX59U & TUF AX4200 (MediaTek Filogic 830)

You can choose any of them. Ideally, choose the one that you like best visually (and that your wife will approve of).

388.8.4 release seem to have cause AIMESH stability issue

No. As far as I remember a few releases ago there was a fix for AiMesh node problems in AsusWRT-Merlin. It is not required. You should choose - do you want AiMesh on WiFi or WiFi scheduler. If you want AiMesh on WiFi - disable WiFi scheduler. If you want WiFi scheduler - use Ethernet Backhaul...

    Asus AX-GT6000 vs TP-Link EAP 670

I think @drousch should clarify their requirements and provide information on the number of walls on the floor and the material they are made of. For 2-3 walls I usually get 200-300 Mbps (not MB/s) speed without any problems. It can be really dense with wooden walls ;)

    Asus AX-GT6000 vs TP-Link EAP 670

Yes, but and and Wi-Fi 6 is not 2,5 Gbps.

    Asus AX-GT6000 vs TP-Link EAP 670

    I suspect @drousch is thinking about 70-80 Mbps (not 70-80MB/s) ;)

Pro-sumer WiFi 6/6E routers with support for VLAN, VPN, SSH, and some custom firmware

No problem. If you want I can sell it to you for 1000 USD. ;)

    Malware damaging ASUS routers?

If you need AsusWRT 5 then ok. However, if the lack of updates is the reason you want a change then you should look for a router from other manufacturer. Vote with your wallet, otherwise you are showing that the lack of updates is a good marketing strategy.
