    Thinking about TP-Link Deco X90

My Deco M5 was very stable and had 0 issues (other than just being WiFi 5 and can't get near gigabit WiFi.) It looks like they've already released 3 firmware updates this year for the X90. Hopefully I get the same stable luck as I did with the M5.

    Thinking about TP-Link Deco X90

Don't go with the x60! It does not have 160Mhz channel support. The x90 does. I am using 5 x90's throughout my house. All on wired backhaul. I get near gigabit speed on WiFi throughout the entire home. It's pretty great! Roaming works EXCELLENT! I have the TP-Link app open, and I will bring my...

    RT-AX89X

This thing is a beast! The biggest box I've ever received a router in. You can fit all the antennas around your head LOL ;) Item is back in stock at NewEgg, by the way.

    RT-AX89X

So just to confirm, there will be no Merlin firmware for this router because of the chipset? I’m still pretty excited to get it.. but that is kind of a bummer.

    RT-AX89X

I went ahead and ordered mine. However, I am going to be checking daily to see when it becomes available for order. I went through this with the Netgear Orbi Wifi 6 router. Amazon had it listed like this for weeks where the availability kept getting pushed back... but somehow, Best Buy ended up...

How many satellites Orbi WiFi 6 System (RBK852) supports?

It will. Netgear let’s you clone a MAC address for the WAN port. It will work no problem :-) every router allows this.

How many satellites Orbi WiFi 6 System (RBK852) supports?

No, here is a true bypass mode to get rid of your AT&T router: https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r29903721-AT-T-Residential-Gateway-Bypass-True-bridge-mode Works great. I'm going on months with my AT&T router unplugged and stored away. Mine is on a UPS battery backup in case of power flickers...

How many satellites Orbi WiFi 6 System (RBK852) supports?

You can bypass the AT&T gateway completely. Lookup the dummy switch bypass option. I have AT&T Gigabit Internet, and my AT&T router is offline and tucked away in a closet :) I pre-ordered the Netgear Orbi RBK852 from Amazon. I had some gift cards to use, credits, etc. So I was able to get the...

VLAN tag = VID in "Special ISP Settings" ?

I can be of assistance! I noticed the VID was missing in the latest Merlin build as well (see post #10 and #11 here with Merlin's response ---> http://www.snbforums.com/threads/bug-collecting-iptv-issues-with-recent-firmware.31237/ ) So it is Asus' fault that this field is missing. They will...

[bug collecting] IPTV issues with recent firmware

I need IPTV settings in order to use my Asus router as my modem/router combo for my fiber optic Internet. Therefore, I'm suppose to set the "Internet" port to VID=201 with a PRIO of 0. However, if I select "Manual Settings" from the drop-down list on the IPTV tab, only LAN port 3 and 4 are...

VLAN tag = VID in "Special ISP Settings" ?

Awesome! Thanks.... I'll go pick up an Asus tomorrow :-)

VLAN tag = VID in "Special ISP Settings" ?

Thanks! I need a VLAN 201 for my Internet. If anyone can confirm I can do this number, please let me know.

VLAN tag = VID in "Special ISP Settings" ?

I have been trying to figure out how to setup a VLAN tag so I can use my router with my CenturyLink 1Gigabit Fiber Optic Internet. I need to enter my PPPoE credentials and set a VLAN as 201. I found this post in another forum: I figured out how to use my ASUS router in place of the one...
