    XR 500 client limit

resetting was a horrible decision. I lost connectivity to everything. Finally after about 12 hours devices are starting to reconnect to the network. Somehow there is some.... thing where new devices, or rather old devices get blocked from joining.

    XR 500 client limit

Yes for the latest firmware..... no on the reset fully. I'll try that...

    XR 500 client limit

Somehow I now have way too many wireless devices (mostly cheap smart home crap). I seem to have issues getting an IP address whenever I connect more than around 28 devices to my router at once. I have no idea why. Everything says I should be able to connect up to 32 clients per band, and I'm at...

    SMBv2 or SMBv3 router?

Well I bought an r9000 because it was only 333 dollars. It ended up frying itself in two weeks.

    SMBv2 or SMBv3 router?

Which router? Honestly, my primary reason for having the router do it was for accessing files from away from home. But without smb, I just kind of was like...well I have to pop the drive out every time I want to load something? Wondrous.

    SMBv2 or SMBv3 router?

Background: I had a nighthawk r7000 but it was old so I sold it to get something better because it couldn’t handle 1gb fiber and it didn’t like half my drives. I bought Asus RT-AC3100 but they only have some samba 3 that doesn’t handle SMBv3 and windows strongly dislikes smbv1. Question: are...

    Pce-ac68

You don't think that anyone will ever make a card that can connect on both bands? I can't imagine that. Yeah, and it's a waste. So I'm going to try a cheaper card. It just doesn't make sense to have a 2.4ghz band that fast if I'm always going to use the 5ghz band to connect anyway. 2.4 might...

    Pce-ac68

Asus utility. It fluctuates between 500-1170 or so. File transfers aren't anything special. I already ordered a cheaper ac card. I'll swap it in and see how it runs. Have they ever made a card that runs on 2.4ghz and 5ghz? I'm mostly wondering if I should keep my eyes out for a real ac1900...

How do I use ac1900 on the pce ac68?

    Pce-ac68

So I just bought a PCE-AC68 and I have a netgear R7000. I plugged the PCE-AC68 into my computer and I'm basically lucky to get 700mpbs, sometimes 866.6mbps. I have a feeling that it's only connecting on the 5ghz band. (mostly becuase it says so) Can I get it to connect to my router on the...

    Need Client for R7000

YESS!! Thank you. I knew those cords could be bought somewhere! u.fl is the word I needed. Yeah, the only ac bridge I saw on the cheap was http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0090DX8O8/?tag=snbforums-20 for 40 dollars and it apparently has issues. And the on snb seems to indicate that it can't shut...

    Need Client for R7000

So the set up is like this. I have the cable modem and the R7000 in one room, and the computer and WRT54G client bridge in another room. I actually really like this set up and I think I'd want another bridge like it if that's even possible.

    Need Client for R7000

I am currently using a 12 year old linksys router as a client bridge operating at a blazing 54mpbs to connect my desktop to the internet. Most people say I should get a wired connection but I don't own the building, so it's just not going to happen. I bought an R7000 mostly because the...
