    2x 2,5gbit lan ports

Thanks for the answers, maybe you are right and I will do it using switch (as I still planned to buy one). No, I dont need two more radios. The only reason was to get more ports. Will AiMesh work over switch? I think it should but maybe there are some problems, maybe asus implemented it in some...

    2x 2,5gbit lan ports

Only because I want 2 ports 2,5gbit capable - for NAS and server. Moving to wired aimesh is not related:) That is another thing that I am thinking of. Thanks for the link, will check reviews. If I would go to buy new router with 2x2,5gbit ports, any recommendations?

    2x 2,5gbit lan ports

Is it possible to use in RT-AX88U Pro two 2,5gbit ports as LAN? Normal, without Pro had no 2,5 but I see that Pro has one described as WAN, second as LAN. If it is not, what would you reccomend as router with two 2,5 lan? AXE16000 is pretty expensive... I have currently RT-AX86U + RT-AX86S as...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 beta is now available

RT-AX86U on beta 1 and now on beta 2, RT-AX86S with stock 3.0.0.4.388_23285-g5068da5 - working as AIMesh with wifi backhaul. I had to skip few last updates and stay on 386.7_2 because problems with some IOT devices disconnecting very often on newer. Now everything just works fine on betas with...

    Dual WAN Failover ***v2 Release***

I am not sure, if thats the source problem with factory Failower - it restarts LAN connections when moves to second WAN (have to check it but have no possibility now as people are working on it). But, does this solution works the same - breaks LAN connections? For people in small company that...

repetitive disconnecting of a wireless client - Deauth_ind reason: Unspecified reason (1)

Same problem here. Completely fresh installation on RT-AX86U Pro, newest firmware. 2,4ghz clients are disconnected (deauth/unspecified reason). Wifi ax disabled, wpa2/wpa3 enabled. No mesh.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 is now available for all supported Wifi 6 models

Short update about dropping devices: At the end I reverted to 386.7_2 firmware and reverted factory defaults+reconfiguration. Still had problems with IoT devices disconnecting with 5GHz channel set to auto. After changing it to static channel everything runs well (on 388.1 even with static...

ASUS RT-AX86U local network WIFI Ping issue 388.1

For me it didnt worked. I have installed 388.1 on main router and Asus stock on AiMesh, but have same problems. So I believe only reverting both, router and node, to previous would be solution (will do that and check during next following days)

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 is now available for all supported Wifi 6 models

I don’t use 160 and have still drops in 2.4ghz and 5ghz. Chanel set to 6 and on 5ghz to 100. it worked yesterday for some time after reinstallation of node and setting fixed channel but still have problems with network. My IoT devices loose connection, eg Netatmo, sockets, lamps etc. on 5ghz...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 is now available for all supported Wifi 6 models

Setting fixed channel didn't help. Im back on stock on aimesh node-FW_RT_AX86U_AX86S_v300438649599, which is older version. Newest stock didnt work either. On router I have Merlin version RT-AX86U_388.1_0. It is better now, IoT devices once again are working, but.. They are sticked to router...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 is now available for all supported Wifi 6 models

I was looking everywhere for source of my problem except forum and specifically this thread. Previously had RT-AX86U as router and RT-AC68U as aimesh node - both latest firmware (but it is different for AX and AC). Yesterday started tests with RT-AX86S as aimesh node instead of AC. Today in the...

recommendation for Aimesh node AX86 vs AX68

To be honest, it is better now when I browse net, it just works in specific place where it didn't work very often. Current placement is best from those that I could make... I will take one week to check how it works, then I will leave it, or buy AX86U and make comparison. Anyway, thank you for...

recommendation for Aimesh node AX86 vs AX68

I bought RT-AX86S and now it is in exactly same place as previous RT-AC68U. 2.4GHz: previous signal (-60), current (-57 to -59) //edit, after "aimesh optimization" it is now (-46) so much better. 5GHz: previous signal (-60), current (-57 to -59/)... //edit, after "aimesh optimization" no change...

recommendation for Aimesh node AX86 vs AX68

The prices are same in my country, so probably ax86s would be better. But regarding range, 86U is better than 86S or similar? Because as I see it, processor and ram are more useful in router mode, in aimesh probably not. 2,5G port - i cant use it (my mistake during renovation and have no cable...

recommendation for Aimesh node AX86 vs AX68

I have now RT-AX86U as main router and old RT-AC68U as aimesh node. Unfortunately by my mistake I don't have now real possibility to use ethernet backhaul... I wanted to upgrade AC68 to something with AX and stronger signal Two floors, routers can see each other currently. AC68 has not enough...
