Simple question...
AX86 Merlin 388.1 + AdGuard Home v0.107.26.
Want to up it to 388.2 using firmare file (Administration>Firmware Update Tab).
Anything to pay attention to - would not like to break AGH...?
Regards!
Rebooted my AX86 manually and AdGuardHome v0.107.26 is not starting.
Can`t enter WebUI anymore
Can`t uninstall by using amtm>ASUSWRT-MERLIN ADGUARDHOME INSTALLER (after pressing y(es) nothing happens)...
???
I`m not using any other scripts.
How to wipeout all (besides Merlin firmware of coz) -...
Running:
AX86 Merlin 388.1 + AdGuard v0.107.23.
Worked almost without a flaw.
On average DNS stopped to work about every two weeks - but simple router reboot helped.
But today...
Suddenly internet stopped to work.
Router GUI = OK
AdGuard GUI = Upstream DNS servers, Bootstraps, Private reverse...
RT-AX86U 388.1 + AdGuard Home 0.107.21 (thru amtm)
Simple question:
What is best and safest way to update AGH to newest stable (not beta) version, without reseting any settings (filter list, DNS servers, blacklist, whitelist, etc, etc.) ?
Regards!
Hello.
AX86/AX88 with latest Merlin + Samsung Galaxy S10 + Unlimited data plan with Public static IP.
Trying this setup to work as my backup link.
Samsung Galaxy S10 connected with to AX86 (or AX88) to Ethernet port with USB<>Ethernet adapter (S10 Android Ethernet Router).

Hello :)
Testing AdGuard Home on AX86u and maybe it`s not flawless (nothing is anyway)
but I`m quite happy.
My main DNS Upstream is CleanBrowsing Security Filter/DNS-over-HTTPS (with sdns link).
DNS-over-TLS also works.
Strangely there is no way to use ANY DNS-over-QUIC server.
I`ve tried all...
Yes - DNS Director Global setting --> Router.
Just tried it with custom setting pointing to router IP.
No difference - as expected.
All things considered - I`ll leave it as is.
Problem is not a problem when you can`t see it ;-)

Hello.
Of course one AGH instance (ASUS Merlin) - not much sense to have two on same LAN anyway :)
I`m seeing individual client queries now on Merlin AGH, just for some reason some "high freqency" ones
that were seen on Raspberry Pi 4 AGH (devaccess.easy4ipcloud.com + ip-api.com) for weeks - are...
I`ve had Adguard Home on Raspberry Pi 4 for some time and all worked OK except for obvious reasons I could see what was queried but not which local client did...
I had a lot of queries (probably dahua IP Cams) + some others...
To ID exactly which local clients hammered DNS I`ve just installed...
I`ve got AX88 with newest Merlin driving it + AdGuard Home on Raspberry Pi 4.
DNS Director (DNS Filter) forcing all (I hope so...) queries to go thru AGH.
Seems to work nicely, but in AGH log shows all queries are from router.
Any way to discern local clients with DNS forcing still on?
Question.
With AX88 + AsusWRT-Merlin-AdGuardHome installed + DNS Director (DNS Filter) intercepting - would I be able to see which local clients queried or would it be like with separate Adguard Home on Raspberry Pi - i.e. all (forced) domain queries would go thru router and be displayed in AGH...
