    RT-AC68U - Overclock on 384.4

My download speed went from 3MB/s to 4MB/s when openVPN is running. Also Samba seems a bit faster
  2. Q

Pros and cons moving to 384

I'll stay on 382.2b3 for now, as I overclock my AC86U to improve the openVPN speed (and also firewall and Samba shares). I hope that someone finds a way to overclock the new firmware so I can upgrade :)

    Overclocking RT-AC87U Question

@adampk17 : I'm running a VPN on my AC68U, the download speed is higher when overclocked.

    Overclocking RT-AC87U Question

For those that overclock; did you also manage to get this working under 384/NG? So far I understood that overclocking is no longer possible?
  5. Q

    RT-AC68U.....380.69_2 vs 384.3

As my AC68U takes care of the VPN I overclock my router. From what I understand, the new bootloader prevent overclocking....So I'll stay on 380.x untilsomeone finds a workaround (or until VPN speed increases due to improvements). >removed typo; I have a AC68U not a AC86U...

    AC86U SMB Tweaking

Works great on my AC68U running 382.2beta3 (because of my VPN I need to overclock my router, so I'm stuck with this firmware), a 20% speed increase with double buffer.

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 Beta is now available

Sorry for the bump, but is overclocking still possible?
  8. Q

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 Beta is now available

Is it still possible to overclock the AC68U? As it is impossible to return to previous versions that support overclocking.... ASUS was working on making it more difficult, but I'm not sure if they succeeded?

    The rmerlin donation thread.

Many thanks Merlin, your firmware rocks! Donation made.

[Test builds] 380.58 alpha builds are now available

Sorry I'm a bit of a pussy when it comes to that type of stuff. Removing the memory-stick and the USB-drive worked though! This frees up some memory. Thanks all!

[Test builds] 380.58 alpha builds are now available

This does not work for me; same error message.
  12. Q

[Test builds] 380.58 alpha builds are now available

Updating my AC68U from version 378.56_2 failed (Firmware upgrade unsuccessful. This may result from incorrect image or error transmission). I've downloaded the file 4x and also tried the 25feb version without luck... HW_ver 170, boardrev 0x1100
