    6e and international airports...

The minute everyone lands in an international airport one main concern is internet connectivity since most people are cut off and airports will now have more spectrum on 6ghz. It would seem virtual wifi markets would take off at international airport hubs. People get a fast connect and the...

    Wifi 6e - access points?

If 6ghz got successful I was wondering if it could eventually knock 5ghz in the unused zone. 2ghz would be for legacy, simple stuff like printers, cheap IOT & 6ghz would be the performance band. A budget router 10 years in the future would be dual band 2 & 6 ghz.

WiFi 6 - When to make the move?

I wonder how many channels will be available? Hoping I can buy a 6e model in a few years with all the US 6ghz channels. There is a lot. I'm thinking some of the cheaper routers will start with UNNI-5 which are what Europe is offering and leave it at that. Just got the ax58u with the DFS...

Simple wireless bridge with neighbor for 1Gbps

Some, but I can get direct line of sight.

Simple wireless bridge with neighbor for 1Gbps

It's across the street, so a cable wouldn't be possible as something we would commit to.

Simple wireless bridge with neighbor for 1Gbps

My sister is building a house caddy-corner to my Parents to take care of them and I've taken it upon myself to help them link their networks together. They will be around 70 meters (229 feet) apart. I was thinking the simplest approach was to buy two AX routers (Asus RT-AX88U) and link...

[Alpha] Preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60

Thanks all haven't made the plunge yet, but was just wondering if there were specific flash back characteristics between alpha builds noted. I guess it might depend on model router also. I got the 68p, so good to know it worked for you on the 68u. I guess they could make it so you couldn't...

[Alpha] Preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60

Just curious.... what versions of the 380.60 alpha can you flash back? Anybody have any experience? I figure going back to an old alpha build might be a way to go old or alternate firmware in the future.

[Alpha] Preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60

So if 380.60 is going to make it so you can't flash to older builds, I think I might wait a few months on 380.59 till the improvements get juicy enough to make the plunge. Maybe one of these early alpha builds that might not work right can be saved and used in the future to flash back to it...

    Adaptive QOS - port assignments?

thanks... maybe looking at "apps analysis" will give a little hint at least on how the router is looking at some of the data. I will just experiment later on this.

    Adaptive QOS - port assignments?

Does anyone know what port assignments Adaptive QOS looks at when prioritizing? Customize has "gaming, streaming, voip, web surfing, file transfering & others" listed. The one I'm most specifically interested in is when I use my VPN it uses UDP on port 443 and this is also the same port...

Adaptive QOS... VPN uses what priority group?

On Adaptive QOS, if one of my machines is using OpenVPN, which I assume is using UDP on port 443, does it use the priority group "Web Surfing" since https uses port 443? Or does it use "Other?" Pardon if I implied anything wrong in my question.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 is now available

I seem to be missing a gene that gives me instinctal like knowledge everyone else has of knowing what CTF means ;-) What does CTF mean? I have the RT-AC68P and I know upgrading to 380.58 downgrades my wireless driver which works fine on 380.57 for the little bit I use it. The changelog...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56_2 is now available

Yea... I have the RT-AC68P and I had issue like this with the adaptive QOS also. Maybe I could of fixed it but I reverted back to the July version and I'll wait till the next version comes out to try again.
