I was busy over the weekend so didn't opt for downloading the new FW. I was going to install today on my (UK) BQ16 pair which have been operating flawlessly almost from day 1. I do, however, have some problems occasionally with my Sonos system and Sky Q boxes when, for example, after a power cut...
Sorry to read about these problems. I've got a pair of BQ16s which I set up a week ago. I've been pleasantly surprised to find the performance has actually been very good on the latest FW, I haven't had any problems at all but I suppose it's early days yet. I also have an S23 Ultra and get...
I've just changed a very similar set up (AX11000 and 2 XT8 nodes) to a pair of BQ16s (I'm in the UK so they're the non Pro versions). I'd been researching newer mesh set-ups since the start of the new year and had been very hesitant about changing due to the numerous problems which were...
Never used the supplied router and tbh I'm reluctant to try as everything works fine, large files excepted! This means I'm hesitant to raise the issue with Sky as the first thing they'll have me do is connect their router lol. My current 'workaround' is to pause any very large file when it gets...
I ran some tests back in early October and there wasn't much difference in speed with or without a VPN (most of the time I'm using the VPN as it auto connects whenever I boot my PC). I'm on a 900 Mb plan and with Nord engaged usually manage around 850, tested with Ookla; the test you linked...
Yep, I even raised a thread here to see if anyone could identify any problems with my AX1100 and I followed advice given, which included a complete reset of the system. The thread is here https://www.snbforums.com/threads/ax1100-dropping-internet-connection.81135/#post-793305
Initially I...
Don't believe the claims by Sky that they've stopped or don't throttle, it's BS. It kicks in around 40gb. Never had any problems with BT who I was with for a couple of years previously, so I've just got to live with it for the duration of the contract :(
I'm with Sky and use a combination of an AX11000 connected to the ONT and a couple of XT8s. Like you I tried using IPv6 as it's available on Sky. However, it didn't take me long to realise I wasn't actually getting any benefit at all and the disadvantages soon became apparent, not the least of...
So sorry to hear you've been having similar problems to those I had. Like you after I upgraded to the latest Merlin FW the connection to my ISP was unstable and my Sonos speakers also played up (not connecting properly, not responding to voice commands) and my satellite boxes wouldn't function...
I couldn't figure out what that mac address was until my brother came round for his usual morning coffee today and realised it's his mobile phone. He's only here for about 30 minutes each day.
As per your earlier suggestion I'm going to do another hard reset on the router as one of my Sky...

After this morning's slowdown I downloaded the log which I attach as requested; the slowdown was about 10.25. I do look at the logs but can't usually work out what most of the entries mean apart from the most basic stuff.
