Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 46E9 (DNSpooq)

I am not sure about your router, but on RT-N66U, I use this option and works well, if the signal is weak, it disconnect the device forcing it to connect to the better Access Point.

@ColinTaylor I do NOT have strict-order in this file, I just checked, I have it on /jffs/configs in a file "dnsmasq.conf.add" @john9527 I SSH and did Service restart_dnsmas here is the output now: Seems to still be sending it to 9.9.9.9 Aug 12 11:36:38 dnsmasq[2429]: server 192.168.1.2#53...

Thanks @ColinTaylor , So this is getting interesting. In my /jffs/configs I created a file "dnsmasq.conf.add" and added just 1 line on it, "strict-order" saved and reboot the router, ssh back to ensure the file and content there. Then I ran the commands you told me: killall -s USR1 dnsmasq...

Thanks! Just an update for anyone reading this. This is my current setup and I tested it for 2 days now , taking PiHole offline and so on, and it seems to be working great LAN DHCP: DNS 1: PiHole IP DNS 2: Router IP *Advertise router IP = NO WAN: DNS 1: PiHole IP DNS 2: 9.9.9.9 NOTE: If you are...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Hey bud, thanks for the reply. Question so I can understand better. Should I not put pihole DNS under WAN DNS1 and DNS 2 should be 8.8.8.8 ? The reason I say this is, If I have DNS Filter ON , the reason is, some devices have hardcoded Google DNS, which I want them to still use Pihole, the...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Hey guys, I need some help sorting out a problem. So I use PiHole for my DNS and I have ENABLED DNS Filtering, so ALL DNS inquiries are sent to PiHole IP (since some of my devices are hard-coded to use Google DNS) anyway, the issue I am trying to resolve is find a way to have backup in case...

Thanks, well that sucks lol ! I am just wondering if more and more apps/devices use what Chrome is doing, then I guess PiHole is going to be less relevant.

Thanks, however I am looking to see if possible to do this at the router level as oppose to disabling it on Chrome. the main reason is, I am trying to prevent ANY device (some that I might not know) to use any DNS other than my PiHole.

Hey Guys, anyone found a way to effectively forward DoH to another provider. ? I have PiHole installed and to do some testing, I changed my PC DNS to be 9.9.9.9 then in my router (RT-N66U) changed the setting "Prevent Client auto DoH" to YES Parental Control --> DNS Filtering , enabled it, and...
