BQ16 Latest Firmware & Consistent disconnections from the internet after a week or 2?

Couldn't hurt to give static a try. I have a similar problem, setting my WAN as static with exactly the settings that are assigned by DHCP never works although DHCP always assigns my assigned address.

    BT10 and no NAT/uPNP

    How did you do that?

    FTP - Too Many Connections

Actually I was thinking it may have been the transfers that were being done. If the thing used to make the copy opens a TCP connection per file transferred and you have lots of files, particularly if they are small, you'll burn through the available connection pool pretty fast and they will just...

About the Linux Kernel Version of the firmware of ASUS WiFi 7 router

Unless forward porting of the new drivers was hard due to changes in needed dependent source code infrastructure. It depends on what they were using during the development.

    FTP - Too Many Connections

I wonder if you are getting problems due to TCP socket connections remaining around after being closed for a pre-determined time (as defined by the TCP protocol) to prevent connections to a socket for which an ACK may be in transit after it's closed, the so called lost duplicate. You should be...

    GT-Be 98 European Version. We need more Merlin-Gnuton :)

Except that 3006.102.4_1-gnuton1 is not a beta or alpha. One sure way to end up with no more support and Merlin based firmware for these devices (that Merlin himself cannot maintain because of where he lives) is to complain about the development effort. From a developer POV one of the great...

    Release ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_37902 (2025/08/14)

Most likely it's Symmetric NAT, it's been quite a while since the Full Cone NAT was removed. It was never accepted into the upstream kernel so the code needs to be maintained by whoever includes it in their product.

    Maybe Some Help

Perhaps the easiest way to do this is to select separate SSIDs when you first set it up (basically set the router back to factory defaults, there is a check box option to set it up with one SSID or multiple SSIDS, then it asks if you want an IoT SSID) which I think is what your looking for. Then...

    Gaming port, how work?

Not that familiar with NAT levels. Don't you need Full Cone NAT to get better than moderate?

    Gaming port, how work?

Why do you think NAT has anything do with this?

    Release ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.62.102_37838 (2025/04/23)

I found that when the BE98 is in router mode with BQ16 AiMesh nodes MLO backhaul activates if revision 36104 is used, it didn't work with 36801. Don't know yet if there are other problems with 36104 that would preclude using it.

    Release ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.62.102_37838 (2025/04/23)

Oh ... it's available if I go to the us site to download it but it's not available on the Australian site at all ...

    Release ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.62.102_37838 (2025/04/23)

Thanks, but it seems that it doesn't work when the BE98 is in router mode ... *sigh*

    Release ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.62.102_37838 (2025/04/23)

Bummer, don't think 36801 was available by the time I got my BQ16s, it's certainly not available for download now.
