can someone please point me on how set up (safely) ipv6 and firewall on ax86u pro (latest Merlin)? i only have 2 PCs connected by wire (the radio on asus is off - no wifi) nothing really happening on network, just browsing and gaming (no vpn or port forwarding or anything else ...) this is...

just wonder if this ↑ is a security "problem" ? - not sure if i will keep it on , just wanna to try it ... thanks

i am leaning toward the 86 , my internet is slow (150/30) before i will need the 2.5G i will probably need to upgrade for EOL reasons

i have the AC3100 placed vertically (it is shaped like the 88) so thats not a problem for me

so i narrowed down to "RT-AX86U Pro" and "RT-AX88U Pro" what is the difference between them ? (except $) what i found out is that: so 86u has only one 2.5G port that could be either WAN or LAN ? and the 88u has two 2.5G ports , one is WAN and one is LAN ? also the 86 has a "gaming" LAN that...

it shows "no longer supported" on https://www.asuswrt-merlin.net/about and yes i am still keeping it but "slowly" looking for replacement - when i see something on sale or on used market i may get it ...

is there somewhere a "what's recommended" list ? hopefully in order with the most/least powerful hardware , expected support etc ... would be good to know - just in case if something goes on sale or it pops on used market ... thanks

i have the ER605 V1 and RT-AX56U - i am using only one at the time so i need to choose one just wonder which one is better for the safety , firewall etc. i do not care about performance they seam to work well in my situation (browsing , banking , gaming) - i am using them only in "wired mode"...
