I have found stability issue for 21045 as well. And because I am a bit busy these few weeks, I just rollback to 9.0.0.4_384_631 for simplicity.
The symptom that I found is the Wifi is still connecting but suddenly it cannot access the Internet, with the Wifi still reported to have full signal...

I have a AiMesh setup with 3 nodes: RT-AC88UAP, RT-AC88U node and RT-AC86U node.
I tried to upgrade latest release version 3.0.0.4.384.21045 and figured out that there are many case that the Wifi is good and connected but suddenly cannot ping my router/AP/nodes, Wifi still connected properly...
I have some procedures that can help the AiMesh to operate more stable. After changing any settings, I just reboot the nodes first, then followed by rebooting the main router/ap.
I think they need some more time to put up a stable new release, I am still working with them to resolve some stability issue after enabling MAC address filtering.
