News New AirSnitch attack breaks Wi-Fi encryption in homes, offices, and enterprises

Well, if you use any of the Amplifi models listed, you're definitely vulnerable. None of them have received firmware updates since May 2024. As the article clearly states, some vendors have released updates to patch at least some of the flaws. No updates with patches, then you're vulnerable...

Asus ROG Rapture GT-BE19000: Most stable firmware and features to disable?

Many websites and apps won't work at all when Advertisement and Tracker Blocking are enabled. Overall functionality improves without any AI Protection enabled. Yet AI Protection works fine on my BQ16 Pro.

What are your thoughts on the new AI router GT-BE19000AI?

I don't know how to update it either. The AI board always says it has the latest version when I tell it to check for updates.

RT-BE86U USB ports - how much power do they provide?

    1. The USB ports on routers aren't designed to power ONT's or modems. 2. The ONT and modems have to be plugged into the wall because they can easily use more than 5 watts under load. 3. If they're powered by the router then you'll never get online; ONT and modem have to already be fully...

    Disappointed with BQ16

Got more than 20 smart bulbs and 40+ smart plugs working with no issues, same with 3 smart TV's, 2 soundbars, and Apple TV 4K, no issues whatsoever. Also wondering if the Pro doesn't gave these issues, as a co-workers with non-Pro's are having the same problems.

    Disappointed with BQ16

My BQ16 Pro is still using 3.0.0.6.102_36998. I can't find 37000 or 37012 anywhere. Also, all my devices connect fine, without needing an IoT network.

Is exhaust fan needed for BE96U

ASUS told me the temps were normal for this model, with 50⁰-65⁰ C being considered normal by them. They did compliment us for using USB-powered fans to reduce the internal temps, but that the levels were normal. Since my unit works better with temps in the low 40's, I question what they...

Is exhaust fan needed for BE96U

So you claim. Got the fans, and CPU is down to 43⁰ C, with the radios ranging from 40⁰-45⁰ C. Speed test results show speeds have increased almost 30%, with browsers and other Internet apps showing big improvements in speed and responsiveness. The fans made a huge difference.

Where did you purchase your exhaust fan? Amazon? My BE96u sits at 60° C even with the house at 22° C.

Did you try turning off your router and node, then rebooting your modem/gateway, then restarting your router and node after the modem/gateway finished booting? That fixed the issue for me.

GT-BE98 Dropping all devices, wired and wireless

I had a similar WiFi issue with my BE96; my solution was to disable MLO, Wifi 7, and disabled the Wi-Fi 7 MU-MIMO settings in the WiFi Professional tab for the 2.4 and 5 GHz radios; then I setup the 6 GHz with a separate SSID. Then I turned on just WiFi 7 for the 6 GHz; so far no issues.
