Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

Do you mean the control channel on wireless/general? I don't have 49. I have 44, 48, 52 around that. I've set it to 60 now as that didn't have any neighbours using it. It was on 44 which was congested.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

RT-AC86U. 386.12_4. 5Ghz WiFi is intermittently dropping out. Should I back out back to 12 (_0) or is there another fix. Didn't read all the pages, but I see others reporting WiFi stability issues. (it died again trying to post this)

AC68U - (UK - Vodafone, Cityfibre) only 300Mbps downstream on gigabit line

Hi, Has anyone got to the bottom of this? I've just managed to get my RT-AC86U connected and I'm getting 200-300 instead of 900+. I've got VLAN 911 connected in the IPTV page, got my UID/PW configured right. HW Acceleration is enabled. This post would imply it's possible to get decent...

Advice needed - RT-AC86U and Vodafone THG3000 (Gigafast)

Hi folks, Currently running a Huawei Echolife HG612 connected to Fibre (50mbps) with my RT-AC86U (with Merlin) conneced in Wireless Router mode. It serves devices and logs onto my current VF service over my phone line. At the end of the month, I'm upgrading to FTTP. Vodafone supply a THG3000...

Wifi 5ghz drops and cannot reconnect

Mine was enabled for both. I've now set it to disabled. Multicast also set to Auto for both bands. Will report back in the morning.

Wifi 5ghz drops and cannot reconnect

This is getting annoying... 5Ghz dropped again. IGMPV3 type=45 is the last entry in the log before the router goes haywire. Happy to do whatever is needed to fix this. This problem has got worse since I move my guest wifi to slot 2 and 3, leaving 1 blank - to fix another bug. Is there a...

Wifi 5ghz drops and cannot reconnect

.. and got home to it being offline too. 2.4ghz working fine both times

Wifi 5ghz drops and cannot reconnect

Woke up this morning to just 5Ghz being offline. Reboot fixed. Clearly disabling DFS channels has had no apparent effect.

Wifi 5ghz drops and cannot reconnect

Wifi dropped completely on me last night. Had to connect wired and restart. Now it's ok again. Bought mine from Amazon Warehouse (supposedly a damaged box but looked brand new). I doubt they will just replace it with a new one in my case. The RT-AX86U is around £250. That seems excessive...

Wifi 5ghz drops and cannot reconnect

Done. Will monitor and report back if it happens again - that may be some time as it last happened on Dec 28th.

Wifi 5ghz drops and cannot reconnect

"Auto select channel including DFS channels" is checked, should I uncheck that? It certainly doesn't restore after 5 mins. It's down until I reboot.

Wifi 5ghz drops and cannot reconnect

I've had this a couple of times now.... my RT-AC86U running 386.3.2 drops the 5Ghz network and then won't allow devices to connect until it's rebooted. My log has: Jan 18 18:26:26 wlceventd: wlceventd_proc_event(527): eth5: Auth 90:61:AE:**********, status: Successful (0), rssi:0 Jan 18...

Upgrading RT86U to RT88U same configuration

I have that issue myself. Hence I've just bought and AC86U. The AX is stupid money 2.5x what I paid for the AC. Arriving tomorrow. May try and RMA my 88U as I would expect it to last more than 12 months for the price it cost. Clearly I will factory reset / restore to Asus firmware first...
