    Diversion Diversion/Dnsmaq logging hangs, slowdowns

Atop I do not really know how to read, but here we go: 1/2

    Diversion Diversion/Dnsmaq logging hangs, slowdowns

@Jack Yaz Ok, here we go. I see high loads; and the following outputs from htop. None of this happens when uiDivStats is not installed. Atop in next message due to character limit.

@Jack Yaz Thanks! I will soon reinstall and do these tests, and post the result.

    Diversion Diversion/Dnsmaq logging hangs, slowdowns

Ah sorry @thelonelycoder - I was not aware. Thanks for your attention and reply. If @Jack Yaz does awaken… I would love to help make uiDivStats great (again) 😝 it’s a great addition if it works.

    Diversion Diversion/Dnsmaq logging hangs, slowdowns

Preliminary results...... this seems to be it. - uiDivStats removed (completely): Diversion with logging works like a charm - uiDivStats installed, enabled: Diversion with logging renders router unusable @thelonelycoder -- it this something worth investigating as it seems a structural issue...

    Diversion Diversion/Dnsmaq logging hangs, slowdowns

Thanks Dave. I DO have uidivstats installed. Will try with it disabled/uninstalled and report back.

    Diversion Diversion/Dnsmaq logging hangs, slowdowns

Hi all, Since my new router, I have a completely reproducible issue with Diversion with logging enabled. If I have logging enabled, the CPU usages on at least 3 of 4 cores spikes to 100% intermittedly, load goes to >3 and dnsmasq hagns -- that is, devices do not get any DNS queries resolved...

    DNS timeout weirdness

For the experts, to answer definitively, but I do not think so. Firstly, eventually the domain, does get resolved. Secondly, looking at the dnsmasq log follow, it clearly states when something is blocked.

    DNS timeout weirdness

For those quibbling about that: I adjusted the swap to the size of my real mem. So that’s out of the way. I will look at the log in the way suggested and revert, thanks all!

    DNS timeout weirdness

Thanks very much. Ok noted re swap. Please note that I added the 8 upstreams only after the problems occurred, to test whether that would mitigate. So not the root cause (tried it without to verify). Not Diversion (why are you sure?) -- what then?

    DNS timeout weirdness

Hi guys, Please help me with this weirdness I suffer with DNS timeouts. Background: - recently migrated from RT-AC86 to AXE-16000 - using AMTM/Diversion, large list This happens: In other words, seems quite random, a domain (repeatedly) can't get resolved, while others can, and after a little...

iPhone drops wifi on lock screen and slow association

Thanks all. Intermediate conclusion is this. I moved back to my previous config, including two RT-AC68u on Merlin 380.69.2 and the router on that codebase as well. No issues with that, in other words, the issue is gone. All devices, including iDevices, stay connected as usual, also on lock...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 is now available

That was always my main irritation/problem with going fresh. But the solution is quite simple. Taken from another (quite old) threat here: SSH to router nvram get dhcp_staticlist That's all your leases right there. Safe that string (no enter/breaks!) somewhere. After reinstall, just do: nvram...
