So with TrendMicro turned off still the soft crashes stopped and the router didn't disconnect the 5ghz clients. . Just for testing I restet both routers and started from scratch according to OE and ran the ac86u as my router and my ac68u as an AP. I turned on TrendMicro and soft crashes occurred...
I have a 86U AiMesh router and 68U Aimesh node. When this issue happens my 5ghz has no clients connected and all of them go on the 2.4ghz. When everything is working I have clients on both bands as well as the wireless aimesh backhaul. I read that OE turned off the TrendMicro so I did the same...
Sorry about the OE I should have reread it before posting. No the ac68u is not dropping but notice that the backhaul is only on 2.4 GHz when this issue happens and when everything is fine it's connected to both the 2.4 and 5 GHz.
Hey guys,
I'm using 3.0.0.4.384_45149 firmware and have aimesh with a ac68u client with the same firmware. I notice that every few days I have no clients on the 5ghz band. I can't figure out what the problem is but a reboot fixes it temporarily. I have different ssids for each band. Is there...
Just to chime in, i also get the same errors in my logs and notice that my mesh drops once every few days. Sometimes in the wifi log my 5ghz shows no connections, until I reboot the main router. Guess I'll deal with it until the next update.... been an asus fan for a long time but sense change...
Hello everyone,
I have the Asus AC86U router and love it now that I turned off the smart connect and made two separate networks but one thing I can't figure out is why my Samsung Galaxy S9 phone looses the internet connection when the phone is screen off and idle even though on the router it...
Ok so I did an restore then an initialise and with default settings I'm still not able to send mail. No Aimesh. The client is on the IPCamera's, my ISY994 automation. None can send, clicked on email test and failed. I have one connected to a switch then the ac86u router and same thing. Nothing...
Hello everyone,
Thank you for taking the time and reading this. I am using the Aimesh system with the ac86u and the ac68u. I bought the ac86u since my connection on the aimesh drops and wanted to see if a stronger signal router holds better. Either way since installing the ac86u and flashing the...
I bought the AC86U to test out the connection and it drops the 5G every so often but the 2.4G stays connected which is better than before as I noticed that my signal is good at -59 (ac86u + ac68u) as opposed to the original way (ac68u +ac68u). Is this normal behaviour? I thought it would of held...
I followed OE suggestions and I found that it did a better job holding the connection but still dropped the node twice in two days. It was much worse before. None the less I just bought the AC86U to try and see if that works better with the AC68U and test out smart connect too.
OE you have been great help, I may of missed it but your clarification and instructions are very well put. I'll give it a try and hopefully aimesh will be much better than it is for me today. I remotely checked on it and lost node today for a few seconds and my signal was at - 64. Well worst...
That's great info, I read your notes and the faq. Just a little confused on one part since I rarely get free time to troubleshoot so I want to make sure I got this right since in my setting lsd i have two buttons factory default and factory initialize do I use these or holding down the rest...
Hi, I currently have it on ups but your point of "If you did not reset to factory defaults after the most recent firmware upgrade, then definitely do this". I did not do that as the node router was store bought but I did upgrade both firmware. The factory defaults is that the initialization...
