The UI is capping it at 3 ... check out my screenshot above.

    ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version RT-AC86U_3.0.0.4.384.32797

Interesting, that would be useful for devices that don't physically move. It's a shame its limited to 3 devices though.

    ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version RT-AC86U_3.0.0.4.384.32797

So I'm assuming the Roaming Block List feature will pin a client to the main router and prevent it from roaming to any nodes. Wondering if there will be a way to pin a client to a node? Also it's capped at 3, that's very strange:

    Backup Manual DHCP List?

I've run into this via SSH when you hit the limit it simply stops allowing any more characters. You can type/paste all you want and the cursor won't move. (this is with Putty)

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.20308 for All Supported Products

I wasn't saying the guide was perfect, just thought in particular the reset and positioning close to router with no cables attached were easy to miss.

Same here with an 86U and 68U ... interesting that you can update via auto update, but the web site still has the old versions.

    RT-AC86U .20287?

Looks like it's finally out. It's not showing on the web site but the router notified me and was able to install it. 3.0.0.4.384_20308-gead790e

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

I wonder if Asus could employ a work around like you mentioned they did with dhcp_staticlist. custom_clientlist is an important one considering how many devices consume an IP address these days. I'm at around 30 clients and 1000 characters is nowhere near large enough to accommodate them...

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

I agree 100% ... based on Merlin's comment I don't see why they can't move it to /jffs. As it stands now there's not enough space to hold all of the devices on my network, so I can only use custom names / icons for a smaller percentage of the network.
