I use mine in AP mode only. A great improvement w.r.t. updating clients lists. I have also noticed a significantly better client handoff between my 3 units as the client device is moved around the home. No issues worse than before updating.
I followed the advice from post 8/@bitsbytes, and I was able to use the download link from post 1/@ericthefish to successfully upgrade to 23925. Two days later, everything is still stable on two different 58u's.
Both ways work. Your way gives you great control. Much more than you could ever get with normal mesh systems. A very safe and good way to go.
Effortless, quick updates are for the great majority of folks that are choosing a mesh system for the first time. Asus will need those folks to win in...
