Weak wifi signals on 1st floor and a way to run a RJ 45 port to bedroom 1 and 3

The signal is only weak when using 5GHz channels and is pretty stable at 2.4GHz and sometimes older devices (Wifi 4 n) failed to disconnect from the old APs when moving between floor. My Windows 10 and Windows 11 Laptop and PC seem to suffer from this as well although they are using Intel AX 200.

Weak wifi signals on 1st floor and a way to run a RJ 45 port to bedroom 1 and 3

Thick concrete wall so I cannot drill through it, AP is a Asus RT-AX56Uv2 in mesh node mode, Router is a Asus RT-AX55. What should I do to fix weak signals for the 1st floor? and if possible how can I add a RJ45 port to Bedroom 1 and 3 without punching through walls for possible more mesh node...

Solved Buying used patch panel for home use?

There are 24 port patch panels but from what I can tell it is for enterprise customers only, the one I found is from a used server rack from a company that just replaced it. Most of the time cheap patch panel and even server rack are available directly from China, I found someone selling 6U...

Solved Buying used patch panel for home use?

So I came to a dilemma of buying used and new. I found this patch panel for relatively cheap as in about 5 USD but used: https://dintek.com.tw/index.php/powermax/powermax500-patch-panels/powermax-modular-panels/powermax-1u-24p-cat-6-utp-patch-panel Should I go for it? My cable are Cat6a F/UTP...

Solved Using Cat 6 UTP connector on Cat 6a STP wire?

I absolutely agree, what I am even suprised more by is that they defended it by saying country like Japan doesn't have a grounding wire but Japan did just forced a must on grounding wire on every new electrical socket since like the 2010 lol

Solved Using Cat 6 UTP connector on Cat 6a STP wire?

Thanks I just check my PoE switch and router and sure enough they all have plastic ports and use a brick power supply. I don't have a patch panel, I did hear from the contractors said something about a cabinet so I will asked them again about it.

Solved Using Cat 6 UTP connector on Cat 6a STP wire?

I remember that there is a single black wire coming out during construction but I didn't see it anywhere, that might be the grounding wire. For electricians here it is kinda weird because we are in the half era if that make sense. Electricians used to be required to only run AC and even then...

Solved Using Cat 6 UTP connector on Cat 6a STP wire?

Thanks. After visiting that website I realized I have F/UTP. Weird that I remembered from my classes years ago that having a foil and grounding wire mean that the wire are STP not UTP. Still there is also a problem that the grounded wire basically doesn't exist in my country which I will...

Solved Using Cat 6 UTP connector on Cat 6a STP wire?

Thanks for explaining this further for me. But I do have a question, how do I "ground" them? Most electrical sockets in my country are two pronged, so even if I did use STP connectors would that mean it is not grounded? I will have to ask the contractors about this.

Solved Using Cat 6 UTP connector on Cat 6a STP wire?

Thanks but I do meant crimped, I use a pass through connectors which ease up installing them for testing. The contractors hasn't installed the keystones yet and most wires are just dangling in the air. They just left for a few weeks due to scheduling and basically said we are free to test the...

Solved Using Cat 6 UTP connector on Cat 6a STP wire?

Thanks. I did crimped a few with UTP for testing. If it is for testing then it is fine right?
