    BQ16 Pro Quad Band

Out starts to be dangerous to have legacy Asus routers, dikke are 12v (less power hungry) and some are 19v. Imagine if by accident you attached the 19v to a 12v router... Asus is also the only brand that does not have outdoor acces points. Therefore you cannot extend outdoors for cameras...

Public IP ''Your ISP DHCP does not function properly'' fixed - but how?

The vlan thing could been solved because of a sort of refresh sequence. Everything on the asus routers are vlans, thats why they can make guest accounts or dual wan. I can immagine that something was wrong with the vlan of the wan interface , and by changing the iptv vlan, it probably has...

Yet another "Your ISP's DHCP does not function correctly" thread

I'm from Belgium I experience the same problem no dhcp ip adress from my ISP router called Telenet (coax cable modem). I noticed that it DOES get an ip adress if I just remove and re-enter the rj45 cable from the modem, that must trigger something that make it work again. I have the problem...

    [ 388.2 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

Question : Did you try disabling the 2,4ghz channel or the 6ghz ? Because I got something strange, when I touch the config of 2,4ghz wifi (such as the password) then the 6ghz frequency is also changed. And when I disable the 6ghz frequency, then the 2,4ghz frequency is also disabled. They look...

I wish asus would have 2 factor authentication for the VPN solutions.

Asuswrt 388.1 has serious bugs on Asus AXE16000

Sure I can call their support line, but if it doesn't work on AXE routers, best thing would be to remove the faulty merlin firmware for axe routers so that no other users get into disappointment or braking their routers because these are no small bugs, it touches the essential features of wifi...

Asuswrt 388.1 has serious bugs on Asus AXE16000

@RMerlin I wanted to report that for the AXE16000 the firmwares do not work as intended. There seems to be a conflict between the 6ghz and 2,4ghz part, they look like entangled to eachother. when I disable 6ghz, then 2,4ghz is not working correctly and vice versa. I also noticed that the 2,4...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 is now available for all supported Wifi 6 models

@merlin_user123 bug report: on AXE16000 there are a lot of gui bugs, especially when you try to disable the 6ghz channel, then for some reason it also disables 2,4ghz. Another more anoying bug is that Guest wifi on 2,4 ghz doesnt work at all. (multiple reset tried) on both 388.1 firmwares

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 is now available for all supported Wifi 6 models

@merlin_user123 I found a bug on rt-axe16000 , when configuring smart-connect, I can choose between 2,4/5ghz1/5ghz2/6ghz If I select only the last two (5ghz2/6ghz) and name it SuperSuperNemon and press save: the bug renames the network Name to the 2,4ghz network name...offcourse that doesn't...

spdMerlin spdMerlin - v4.x - speedtest and bandwidth monitoring

Jack, & @RMerlin , I'll passthrough your comments to ookla From what I see in your code, ookla configuration clearly would allow multiple cores to be used. So the restriction must come from higher the shell (very likely) the kernel (doubtfull) the parent process (likely) the scripting...

spdMerlin spdMerlin - v4.x - speedtest and bandwidth monitoring

Jack thank you for your response. I've been in contact with ookla to understand where the problem might lay for only using 1 cpu core on the asus routers. There answer was that it shouldn't, the binaries should allow multiple cores to be used. They think it might have to do with or the...

spdMerlin spdMerlin - v4.x - speedtest and bandwidth monitoring

Jack, Thank you for your development, I love the spd module I do have 1 suggestion, the speed currently is limited to +-400mbit download because the asus routers are going at 100% and can therfore not test higher speeds (even on my gt-ax11000) gaming router. This mostly has as reason that the...

    spdMerlin Wrong speeds on spdMerlin

I think there is an issue with the way the script handles the speedtest, it should not cause cpu spike like that, the cpu has been created to handle 1gbit/sec, so it must be something in the "speedtest cli" binary causing high cpu, maybe not 64bit? mayberelying on the local disk with low IOPS to...
