    For what its worth, I downgraded to 3.0.0.4.386_50350. Completely reliable in my use (1 router two nodes, wireless backhaul, used for work with V/C).

    I’m not entirely sold on this firmware. The wireless connection to the nodes seems to drop out more frequently, and my teams connection via Citrix drops audio if the video is on. I found the last version of 386 firmware more stable

    Very interesting. Because I had mixed results with the XT8 on 388, I decided to start with the newest 386 firmware deliberately and the backhaul hasn’t had a hiccup on my 3x XT12 system in very similar conditions to what you described.

    This didn't have a stable connection for me. I use a wireless backhaul with 2 nodes. The connection would drop after a few hours or flip to 2.4ghz. Doing a hard reset didn't change this behaviour. Went back to 48966 which does give a stable connection.

    Not seeing that at all in my use with this firmware. We have many iOS devices, all are performing flawlessly with this firmware (better than 42095). Try reinstalling the firmware and another WPS button reset on all units.

    Should also say that the wireless backhaul has been flawless with this firmware. Very impressed. Strongly encourage a WPS button reset and one more power cycle once all nodes are set up.

    No failures at all here. No node drops, all IoT devices stay connected. No issues at all. I have 3 XT8 units and a powerline network for Ethernet.

    I think that's what it comes down to - the more recent firmwares have been unstable when used with the wireless backhaul. Agree that's no issue for people with a wired backhaul, but it's a big weakness in the context of product as sold.

    To be honest, when I've downgraded I've not done a hard reset unless the system became erratic. At the moment (touch wood) everything works and the backhaul is holding up.     I had a pretty stable set up with 45898, but upgraded to 45934, which worked well for a week then began suffering backhaul drops to 2.4ghz. I do think ASUS could could do better here, but there are an awful lot of people who admit defeat on the first restart after upgrade
