    Please check my settings ( AC86U )

I was advised it causes more problems then gives benefits? interested on your reasoning for enabling it which sounds tempting now for me

    Please check my settings ( AC86U )

Some more images.. USB mode is set to 2.0 too and afew things disabled like ICMP, IPv6 ( available but not worth keeping on due to being underused by 60% of the population ) I also have FlexQOS on right now for testing purposes but I will most probably remove it and nuke reset the router and...

    Please check my settings ( AC86U )

hello, gonna be upgrading my network soon and giving away my Asus rt-ac86u and 4 ai mesh nodes ( 2 router ZenWiFi-AC-Mini-CD6 and 2 regular nodes) , Long story short I will be giving the router and nodes to my family but they asked me to setup the router for them with the nodes in AI mesh wired...

    CAKEQOS/FLEXQOS Advise/Guidance/Best Practice

Im just gonna bump this thread as I see no need flooding the forum , I got a weird scenario , I pay for a 200/200 symetrical line but my isp one day after checking my fibre lines upgraded me? to a 500 down and 100 up late last year , the download speeds can vary from going anywhere between...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.14 is now available for AC models

I would suggest first trying a different browser to see if it's not a browser issue , then try wiping cache and cookies of the browser , another thing to try is formatting the JFFS partition even if custom scripts are disabled and see if that makes a difference otherwise do a x2 system format of...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.14 is now available for AC models

Update dropped at a prefect time , will report if any issues pop up but I doubt any , Thank you for extending support on these older routers for just a couple months , you are one of the reasons why I choose Asus because of your firmware , Thanks again mate

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.13 beta is now available for AC models

makes sense , any suggestion on what should be disabled if you were to do it , alot of these options for me personally seem useless , although I know there is no performance gain , keeping unsupported deprecated ports / features open on my router doesn't sound all too convincing to keep them...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.13 beta is now available for AC models

You may still use your router as a mesh node , Merlin did say he would stop supporting the AC models by the end of 2024 but may still release a security patch if required once in awhile , personally I think you should keep the router and use it as a node

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.13 beta is now available for AC models

wo Would there ultimately be any benefit disabling these outdated deprecated ALG modules? I dont remember the last time i used voip or sip , doesnt seem like it should still be around

Current plans regarding separate version branches

Well seems i have to retire my good old RT86U , it really was an honor using your firmware these past view years @RMerlin , I honestly thought they never would of eol the AC68u and 86u models because of how long they kept supporting them honestly when the AX models released i gave them a year...
