    Maybe router specific if nothing else in the path. I get XT8 with 388.2_2_gnuton (should be the same) and hourly speedtest with autobw enabled (for the QoS), and the below settings. No issue so far. PS: I use an USB dongle to store the result

    I get the same, the release notes mention no compatibility with RT-AX95Q so far I read. I will not proceed up to further @GNUton confirmation

    To be confirmed No, this is the alert for a new official Asus update. Merlin/Gnuton don't have automated procedure to check for update. On purpose Update is well pointing to last Gnuton release, I get the same screen as @afool622 (see below). Clicking on the FW shows well 386.08_0-gnuton1 but...

    The Gnuton version (fork) is compatible with XT8, check the dedicated topic. Merlin's add-ons (check my sig for some) are working too. This is the most stable and reliable FW I've installed since I own the XT8 pairs. Including with add-ons running.

    SLC is always superior in terms of reliability and may be here a solution, I suspect cell management id done differently however (open question). In terms of price vs an SSD is this interesting?
