    CES 2020: NETGEAR Announces Nighthawk AX6 6-Stream AX5400 WiFi 6 Router

Good to know! Still seems like a waste engineering imo. Maybe it can be a contender for a future router for me then since you wrote that Netgear collaborated with you regarding wifi 6, so maybe they are more committed to provide updates for released products

Do the clients also need new hardware, antennas or chips for example Intel AX200

    CES 2020: NETGEAR Announces Nighthawk AX6 6-Stream AX5400 WiFi 6 Router

So this has a Mic build in for voice commands, why? Think I will pass... not sure why so many want surveillance in their house for a small bit of convenience (When it works) The specs looks fine as long as it supports all the important WiFi6 features

802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) when is it worth updgrading to ax routers

The AX200 should have support for MU-MIMO according to https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/189347/intel-wi-fi-6-ax200.html

802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) when is it worth updgrading to ax routers

I dont have a AX router yet, only a AX200 ordered. But I might get a benefit from getting an AX router just for getting MU-MIMO which my old RT-AC66U (Not B1) router do not support. But mostly it sounds like me upgrading to AX almost benefits my neighbors more than me :/

802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) when is it worth updgrading to ax routers

When living in a wifi crowded area, will my wifi still suck if I get wifi 6 devices until everyone else upgrades as well or can it communicate on bands not available to the Wifi5. I know there are many factors, but just in generel if I should expect an improvement in a super polluted wifi space

Qualcomm Announces Second Generation Networking Pro Series Platforms For Wi-Fi 6

I can test if it works in my Thinkpad T470P, but its actually my desktop where I bought a Asus Crosshair VI Hero that have an empty wifi slot, my laptop do not have many issues with wifi as I dont do any "realtime gaming" on it, so mostly my desktop where I would like an upgrade as I get random...

Qualcomm Announces Second Generation Networking Pro Series Platforms For Wi-Fi 6

Hope they release routers late this year that can just be firmware updated for the last details Another thing, with the Intel AX200, can I just use the antennas from the Asus PCIE-68 or have antenna designs changed to support new features?

Qualcomm Announces Second Generation Networking Pro Series Platforms For Wi-Fi 6

I thought Release 1 was the first none-draft release and my plan is to buy a router when draft period is over, hopefully end of this year? But my question is irrelevant as it sounds like the first none-draft routers will have upload mu-mimo then

Qualcomm Announces Second Generation Networking Pro Series Platforms For Wi-Fi 6

I suppose upload mu-mimo is quite important if the plan for me is to use my wireless for gaming? Or are there enough improvements to shift when release 1 routers are out? My AC66U is not good enough in my new apartment with the busy network here (Tried both Asus Pcie-68 and DWA-192, both spike...

How limiting is my router when using 2 clients that talk to each other

The DWA-192 seems very slow on 2.4Ghz so will just keep both at 5Ghz, pretty rare I move stuff between them so not super important. Will need to check if I can get the Ubuntu driver for DWA-192 working better, then I might use that there and the PCE-AC68 might be better at 2.4Ghz

How limiting is my router when using 2 clients that talk to each other

Will test with 2.4 + 5 when I get home. But getting a more powerful router with more bands wont help?

How limiting is my router when using 2 clients that talk to each other

I have an old AC66U (Not the B1 revision from what I can see) and I have a windows PC with a DWA-192 getting 100ish mbit from speedtest The other PC running ubuntu with a ASUS PCE-AC68 says "1053Mb/s" in connection info and it can get 100 mbit/s from speedtest as well (This is placed in the...
