    Custom firmware build for R9000 v. 1.0.2.42HF/1.0.2.42HF-HW

Hi basically I have VPN with IPVanish. As far as I can see if I use OpenVPN I have to install a profile on device and then it works device specific. What I want to do is have an always on VPN on all devices connected. Is this possible?

    Custom firmware build for R9000 v. 1.0.2.42HF/1.0.2.42HF-HW

Hi Voxel. Great firmware. Is it possible to install pure vpn on this firmware so it’s always on? I don’t like the open VPN method I’d like an always on VPN. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    iCloud Sync Blocked on R9000

Hi guys I've noticed that iCloud won't sync on the R9000 on any device. I've read that having IPV6 off and WNN on can affect this so I amended both settings with no luck. Using the same internet connection, devices and another router it all seems to work fine. Any idea what is stopping iCloud...

    R9000 + DD-WRT

Memory is defo not Skewed. The AC3200 provided wifi for 2 houses which are semi detached (only 1 solid wall splitting the houses - internet walls plaster board). Not only did it provide 5G over all 3 floors it also provided it around 2-3 meteres outside of the property all the way round. Now...

    R9000 + DD-WRT

5GHZ band died after 2 days on first device. Second device kept having random reboots every 30 minutes. (I tried everything - judging from what people are saying it's a problem with this latest batch from ASUS. --------- I had an RT-AC3200 which had the best range I've ever had on a wireless...

    R9000 + DD-WRT

What do you mean by hardware acceleration? The latest Kong DD-WRT apparently has hardware cryptic acceleration - is this what you meant? And do you know if DD-WRT would lower or higher my wireless range/stability/speeds at all? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    RT-AC88U Nightmare!

Man you guys are lucky. I tried a second 1 and got the exact same issue! Given up on ASUS now totally - they don't build them like the RT-N56U anymore! Currently trying out the Netgear R9000. Web UI Is atrocious! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    R9000 + DD-WRT

Hi guys Got this router to replace the RT-AC88U after having tried 2 and they both failing on me. The router is ok. It's a bit ugly but I like the fact it has 6 ports. The wireless range on both 2.4 and 5GHZ is rather poor tbh - anyone else having these issues? The web UI is atrocious. I...

    RT-AC88U Nightmare!

I got bored of my AC3200, gifted it to my Aunty and decided to finally get myself an AC88U (I've been wanting it for a while!) First day wifi was excellent speed wise but not as good range wise (which I found awkward as I was sure the 88U would be better). On the third day the 5GHZ radio...

Synology AC2600 or stick to ASUS?

Hi guys. I've been a ASUS user for a good few years now. Went from the N56U to the AC87U to the AC3200. The AC3200 was a fantastic router - fast, great range and above all extremely reliable. As good as the AC3200 is I decided I'd got bored of it and purchased an AC88u and have had nothing but...

    [Official] RT-AC3200 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.913

I was able to upgrade absolutely fine from the last beta version to this no problems - using Safari on Mac.

    [Beta] RT-AC3200_3.0.0.4_378_8868

I've noticed on both 5GHZ bands that the speeds are around half of what they were. Prior to this update sped tests were showing 110-120mbit/sec after this update I get between 30-40mbit/sec - and the speeds seem to fluctuate quite a lot too.
