Hi john,
The latest release of yours is very stable. Thanks for the nice fork!
I was wondering if you could backport or something, so as to to add a simple feature (which exists in todays latest official firmwares) of renaming the connected clients on the N66U running your LTS Fork. That would...
i see. but john i have seen people here changing their region codes through command line. is there any chance for it to work if i change it to some other region, maybe EU?
I ran the commands 'as given' in the txt file you mentioned. The router restarted but the channels available under the 5ghz mode remained unchanged. The 'Auto select channels including DFS' box also did not appear.
ok so the txt file mentions that the customization of DFS channels is available to only EU models of N66U. I guess i am not on a EU model.
A few queries:-
1) If i dont have the EU model, can i still get DFS?
2) If at all DFS starts working, can i revert back safely and disable DFS?
Hi everyone,
I have flashed Merlin fork version - 33E7 on my N66U. Working nicely and pretty stable as well.
I was also hoping that i would get access to DFS channels on N66U as people here have mentioned about using them on their N66U with merlin. However DFS channels are still not visible in...
i am receiving 450mbps on all other channels (ie. on the client side). btw on 36 and 40 the link rate switches between 150 and 180mbps.
seems like interference but what could cause so much of it so as to severely attenuate the signal?
Hi everyone,
I am using 5ghz on N66U and getting full 450mbps link rate on all channels available to me on this band. However there are these 2 channels on 5ghz, if on which i connect, i get a link rate speed of only 150mbps! They are channel no. 36 and 40.
Can anyone please elaborate as to...

i agree with you. but again usb wifi adapters get 1 extra bonus point in that they can be plugged into even a laptop or even to another desktop without the need of opening your cpu cover. basically ease of use.
it would be great if someone could throw light on the performance of Edup...
thanks for the useful response.
I was wondering about the performance of Edup EP-AC1621 in comparison to other big names such as tp link, asus etc. Will it deliver or will it not? should i expect average or above average performance?
