Purchasing RT-AX86U AX5700 Router would help to increase VPN speed ?

Hi Captain, would you share how do you get 140-180 with PIA? I never saw more than 120, and this is on 1Gbps connection. P.S. with 363_3.2 it is now around 70...

Parrent control without disabling NAT Acceleration

so that make Parental control Time Scheduling pretty much useless - If I enable it, then nobody can use video calls (including my work Teams calls)... very disappointing... really want to limit how long kids have internet access on their devices... :(

Parrent control without disabling NAT Acceleration

I cannot even use Parental Control on AX86u as it screws up video conferencing badly... :(

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.3 beta is now available

2xAX86U in AI Mesh, upgraded to Beta2, all seems to work - and PIA VPN works fine

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.3 beta is now available

On my side PIA continues to work fine. Checked the IP address of the target system, all good. Speed seems to be same - measured by router, it is between 110-140, average ~120 Mbps (and this is on hard wired 1GB internet)

VPN Speed and Temp Difference between 384.x and 386.x

Both routers are running Merlin 386.2-6, the cable modem is in a bridge mode, so no double NAT. Here is what I get from ISP: (and this is with kids in online classes) and here is what I get on VPN: (maximum ever clocked on VPN: 130 Mbps I am using UDP, and here are my VPN settings -...

VPN Speed and Temp Difference between 384.x and 386.x

VPN performance degradation is not related to thermal throttling. I am running VPN with AX86u with faster CPU + cooling, and with temperature only 62c, my VPN is ~100-120 (and this is on 1Gbps connection)

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2_6 is now available

this impacts all devices attached, both wired and wireless. Including Google Nest and Kuna cameras.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2_6 is now available

(AX86 + AX86U mesh, 1Gbps internet, proper wiring; the only thing running on the router is a VPN client for a specific IP address) Folks when enable Parental Controls for specific MAC addresses to filter out adult content, it literally cripples any video calls regardless of IP or router the...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 Beta is now available

Overall, 386.2 Beta3 seems good BUT: - wifi speed on AX client seems a tiny bit better (with 5GHz/160 link connected at 2402Mbps, actual internet speed can reach 570+ Mbps (out of 1Gbps on wire), and with previous version it was like 500 - seeing some slower than usual speeds on PIA VPN (just...

Terrible WiFi performance after MerlinASUS firmware update

    @jadog - I did not like 386.1_2; I suggest you try 386.2 Beta2

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 Beta is now available

@RMerlin , thanks again for the new Beta2. I assume that 386.2 Beta2 is on par (actually better than) with ASUS recent release for AX86u - same GPL, etc?

    Major internet issues PPPOE

One problem at a time. Does your internet work fine without VPN? (you mentioned that dsl line stats, etc - but just want to reconfirm) I assume that you already power cycled your modem; if the modem is provided by ISP, did you check with ISP if the modem FW is the latest available? (in my case...
