    No LAN access with Wireguard

Can you be more specific with the settings for Windows firewall on the computer I want to RDP into? I am also unclear as to how I would expand my LAN range on my ASUS router. Can you please elaborate?

    No LAN access with Wireguard

I am generally trying to connect to a desktop computer via RDP, but I also might connect to a NAS, printer, etc. This all works perfectly with OpenVPN, but does not seem to work with Wireguard.

    No LAN access with Wireguard

I did not solve the original issue. This is helpful information. Thank you. To answer your question, the "Tunnel IP v4 and / or IPv6 Address" from my Asus router wireguard config is 10.6..0.1/32 and the values I specified above are the default values I see when I export from the router.

    No LAN access with Wireguard

I have enabled a WireGuard VPN server on my AX88U running 388.1. The local network I am trying to access is 192.168.2.x and I port forward through another ASUS router to the AX88U on port 1197, protocol = both). I have set up WireGuard clients on my iPhone and Windows laptop. I can easily...

VPN access to single computer on network

Thank you very much ColinTaylor and Maverickcdn. You have been very helpful! I am going to set this up and I will report back.

VPN access to single computer on network

Of the last couple of options you have suggested, which would you consider to be the most secure (least chance/greatest difficulty of the VPN client accessing the private network)?

VPN access to single computer on network

I am looking at the Network Service page right now. Are you able to tell me a) would the destination port range also be blank? , and b) what protocol I would use (there are a bunch of choices (TCP, TCP SYN, TCP ACK... UDP))? Also, can you explain what exactly this is doing? Is it preventing...

VPN access to single computer on network

This was to solve a second problem (not mentioned in my original post), that it would be good to be able to access the QB PC from the private network. The reason for this is that the "best" way to do the configuration (per Quickbooks) is to have the QB instance running on the private network...

VPN access to single computer on network

Thank you. This makes perfect sense to me. I have a question re: static routes. I do not know how to configure a static route from the primary AC88U network to the new Quickbooks PC -- but this is exactly the second part of what I need to do. Can you explain how I would configure this...

VPN access to single computer on network

OK. I think I understand the simplest answers. Option 1) Replace AC88U with a business router than can do VPN, VLAN and routing networks. (I understand hpw to configure the VPN and the VLAN). Can you explain how to configure with the routing networks? Is this how I will direct the VPN client...

VPN access to single computer on network

Thank you for all of the assistance! Ideally, Quickbooks will be running on a separate PC and will be the only application running on the separate PC. I do understand the idea of setting up a separate network or VLAN so that the Quickbooks PC will not be able to access any other PC or network...

VPN access to single computer on network

Interestingly, this was my first idea, but apparently Quickbooks does not like to run in this mode - it supposedly becomes very sluggish if its files are not on the local lan. My goal was to avoid the $50-$100/month fee for two users to use Cloud Hosted Quickbooks (not Quickbooks online)...

VPN access to single computer on network

I understand that providing access to the PC running Quickbooks will then provide the person coming in on the VPN with access to whatever portion of the network the PC running Quickbooks has access to (including the router). Could I insert another router into the mix between the AC88U and the...

VPN access to single computer on network

The AC88U can run two OVPN servers, so that should be simple. Where would you suggest is the best place to read about how to use IPtables? I have not done any scripting yet.
