I just upgraded my Xfinity speed to 1Gig from 600mb and my AX88U is not able to go anything over 600mb with Ethernet. I get 1gig when I directly contact to the modem. This means there is something from the router..There are no FW or IPV6 enabled and still not able to exceed anything over 600mb...

My question is about setup AP and using smart connect feature. I just like to know what channel should I keep the AP on ?

If I were to make AX88U my primary router and AC86U my AP (hardwired), SSID (smart connect) should be same ? If so, what channel should I be setting them to? Currently, I have two AC86U and each has its own SSID for 2.4g and 5g. I have the channel manual setup because of to much clutter of WiFi...

My existing AC86U drops 5ghz signal time to time when Trend Micr is enabled. Any issue like that with AX88U? Also, do you recommend this over AX86U? Thanks

In market for ASUS AX router. I have a 4000 sq house and trying to see if any ax router will cover that much and still have stability. I am currently using AC86U.

Yes. My dowadown speed without PIA is 176 and with PIA 66. The only cipher that is working for me is AES 128 CBC. I tried GCM and it won't connect. Even in the instructions they have listed CBC. I noticed you listed that your speed double with GCM

I followed the instructions and have lost half of my download speed with VPN enabled. I did not import ovpn file and just went with the configuration settings on PIA Merlin setup. Can you please take a look at my settings and provide any feedback to gain my performance back. Thanks in advance

I own AC86U and have the latest version of Merlin running..I always wonder if the sign certificate that comes with the upgrade can be installed on the router. Is that possible to install the SHA256 that comes with Merlin? Are there any pro and cons? Can someone please provide me steps to install...

I have AC86U with latest version of Merlin. I am shopping for VPN and any recommendations would be awesome. Goal is to have all my network go through a VPN and why looking to use third party VPN. I am hoping there is way to add third party VPN on Merlin Openvpn option. Thanks in advance
