Can’t See Raspberry Pi in Clients List

For me it is redundancy. I want 2 DNS servers, so if one goes down the Internet doesn't become inaccessible.

SSH Issues on AX86U with Merlin 388.2_2

Thank you very much sir. I had to do another reboot, and then I was able to login via SSH. New flash drive is up and running and all my add-ons are set back up and working

SSH Issues on AX86U with Merlin 388.2_2

My USB stick recently died, and when trying to SSH in to the router I've discovered a couple issues. I have SSH enabled, I've tried 3 different ports including 22, I've tried using ConnectBot and JuiceSSH, I have confirmed the password login is enabled, I have changed the router admin password...

DNS Director does not work properly

The "not defined" that you are referencing is the DNS server fields being blank in the LAN DHCP settings, not the custom fields in DNS Director. So on your screen shot the IP you entered is being ignored, since you have the global mode set to router and not Custom 1. As it says in your screen...

Help for Script to Block Specific Streaming Services

You could look into PiHole. It is able to do exactly what you are wanting. You blacklist specific domains, and then apply those blacklisted domains to specific clients. If you don't want to add an extra device to your network to manage this, you might check Diversion on the add-on side of...

Strange device connected to my LAN

I can't remember exactly what it is called, but if you look in the logs tab there should be DHCP leases. You might look at that.

Thanks for the post. I've been meaning to turn on MFA for the account my security cameras use, and this reminder got me to do it finally.

Solved Accessing Guest Network Clients Remotely Using VPN

Interesting. I only use the VPN to log in and check my cameras when I need to look at them. so I'm not normally connected for long, and I'm not doing anything else while connected. I'm going to try this change first, and I'll let you know.

Solved Accessing Guest Network Clients Remotely Using VPN

Here is the guest wifi config in YazFi, and yes I do have Intranet access enabled in the guest network settings. I have it set to 1 way to guest in YazFi. I have no problem accessing them from the primary network on 192.168.50.X or while using Instant Guard while off-site. Thanks for looking...

Solved Accessing Guest Network Clients Remotely Using VPN

I am not using a VPN client on my router, so that post is not applicable to my situation. Thanks for the reply. I use YazFi so that I can have more control over the behaviour of my guest network. So I do not have any VPN clients running on my router, just the OpenVPN server and Instant Guard...

Solved Accessing Guest Network Clients Remotely Using VPN

I recently moved my security cameras from my main wireless network to guest network 3. Since then, when I remote in to the OpenVPN server I have running on my router, I am not able to access the security cameras. If I remote in using Asus's Instant Guard, I am able to access the cameras. My...

    Memory on RT-AC86U

I figured it was dirty back there, but to be honest I was even a little surprised. The front does look nice and clean though. Time to break out the electronics vac.
