Still haven't found a way to get 6E / S22+ working.
My S8 Ultra tablet with similar internal hardware (S8 gen 1 etc) has no issues connecting to 6E though.
Also interested.
The ET12 1-pack really seems to be the sweet spot right now for a lot of users. Best high end options at different price tiers being GT-AX6000 ($350), then ET12 1-pack ($480) and then GT-AXE16000 ($700).
My Samsung S22+ can't see my 6E / 6 Ghz network on my new ET12. 6E is working flawlessly on my laptop with AX210 so unsure what the Samsung issue is. Digging around online I see others reporting 6E issues on S22+ / S22 Ultra but the issues don't seem to have a lot of consistency to them and I...
The XT12 *did* get Merlin support so I thought the ET12 might at least not be dead last on the list of routers to support.
I've attached 2x screenshots showing the current 2.4Ghz / 5Ghz WiFi congestion situation. Looks like only 1 neighbor is actually moved in ("fourtylove") and the rest of the...
Agreed about GT-AXE16000 probably being more likely to get Merlin support, but $700 for a single router setup is mind bogglingly expensive even for 6E. I'd have no use for the 2nd 5ghz band or 2x10GbE either. Maybe the Merlin supported GT-AXE10000 will go on sale, but I don't expect to have the...
I'm torn between AX86U, GT-AX6000 and an ET12 1-Pack. Prices are $250 / $350 / $480. I have 1gbps fiber I'd like to maximize, am in an apartment building with a lot of interference, use NordVPN, have an AX210 w/6E on my primary laptop and including that currently have 7x total devices to connect...
If speeds using NordVPN are CPU limited do the newer Broadcom BCM4912 (2Ghz quad core w/16nm) and DDR4 in the XT12 offer a significant speed boost? Has anyone tested this?
As far as I can tell the XT12 is the only Broadcom BCM4912 based Merlin compatible router since the other two (ET12 &...
The 2GB RAM is clearly labelled as DDR4 too, where it's not clear whether the ET12's 1GB is DDR4 or DDR3. When would 2GB RAM be useful vs 1GB though?
Also, the 2x10GbE ports are intriguing, but what would an actual use case for 2x 10Gbe ports on a consumer grade router be?
Are you expecting a...
I see XT12 model support listed on Merlin's About page, but no mention of the similar ET12 / 6E variant. Any chance XT12 firmware supports ET12? Some of the other firmware support multiple similar variants, but I'm unsure if these two are similar enough.
Amazon is now selling single ET12 / ZenWiFi Pro AXE11000 units for $480 (vs $900 for the 2 pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B27PSXGR/?tag=snbforums-20
Amazon also just started selling single ZenWiFi Pro AXE11000 ET12 units for $480 which have very similar hardware. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B27PSXGR/?tag=snbforums-20
Are there use cases where it makes sense to spend the extra $220 for the GT-AXE16000 if you don't need the GT-AXE16000's 2nd...
