First time upgrading to a beta version of Merlin on AX88U. Developing confidence in the integrity of the firmware I suppose. Dirty upgrade from 386.4 to 386.5 beta 1 with no problems taking only 3 minutes. All stable and working after reboot.

Did you have to turn off firewall on Asus AP as well as AIProtection (Trend Micro)? How about VPN Director and openVPN clients?
