Solved Wireless Scheduler on TP-Link EAP110

Did a test, of course. It appears that, if you create a "Radio ON" event in the scheduler, the radio turns OFF when the event time window expires, so doing this is as simple as entering the ON event- no OFF event needed.

Solved Wireless Scheduler on TP-Link EAP110

Are you familiar with TP-Link's UI for these access points? I would like to set up a schedule to (for example) turn off the AP's radio from 9pm to 7am. The interface is a tad un-obvious. It seems easy enough to enable the scheduler, create and modify a profile, associate it to the desired...

RT-AX86U PRO owners, experience thus far?

This turned out to be the fault of the VPN provider, NOT at all the RT-AX86U Pro. They made some change that necessitated a new VPN client config file to be uploaded to the router. The problem disappeared immediately upon installing the new wireguard config file in a new VPN profile. I...

    RT-AX86U Pro DNS-Server-settings-a-go-go

I've been using the RT-AX86U Pro with the beta firmware for several months, primarily testing its VLAN features but also other useful features such as VPN Fusion, etc. Recently I began looking more closely at the various DNS Server settings and feeling more than a little doubt that I know what...

RT-AX86U PRO owners, experience thus far?

I purchased the RT-AX86U Pro earlier this year because I wanted a consumer-level router that supported VLANs. This one does if you use the beta firmware. It does not come without its difficulties so I have been experimenting, operating, experimenting some more, and sending feedback to Asus...

    Beta RT-AX86U_Pro Beta firmware 9.0.0.6.102_3506

Observations post 2. * I have been using this router** with a dual VLAN setup for several months now. I have a WiFi Guest Network Pro (GNP) and I have an ethernet (wired-only) GNP for my streaming boxes, an access point, and a few other devices. This allows me to connect these devices (using...

    RT-AX86U Pro VPN-Fusion & Wireguard

I understand. Troubleshooting gobbles up an amazing amount of time. I was motivated by a couple of reasons, the 1st of which was that I didn't want to do this on a device-by-device basis. Too much repetition. Too much dealing with quirks of each device. Too much being sure it works for each...

    Home network setup

Looking at your diagram, I presume that the cpe510 pair make up a dedicated point-to-point link. Certainly your router that is connected to the internet will serve IP addresses, unless you choose to use a DHCP reservation for the local cpe510. In the diagram you show, the IP address range...

Solution to extend wifi to approx. 80/100m - rural area

I used to do this years ago on my property with an ultra-cheap Edimax AP/range extender (<$20 at the time) and a directional antenna that was approx 5-inches square (not quite 13cm). That easily reached 200 feet through my garage wall - the antenna wasn't even outside (I didn't test farther...

    Beta RT-AX86U_Pro Beta firmware 9.0.0.6.102_3506

Sorry, RL has kept me away. Wow, that's quite an oversight! This is a Guest Network after all, IoT or not! Definitely worth a "Hey guys...!" Glad you found the a fix. :)

    RT-AX86U Pro VPN-Fusion & Wireguard

I've been using the beta firmware on this router, but my experience was a bit odd too. I had trouble with devices that I had on my DHCP reservation list but in retrospect I am not sure if it was an oddity with the interface/firmware or if it was my error. When you see devices on the list whose...

    Beta RT-AX86U_Pro Beta firmware 9.0.0.6.102_3506

Not mentioned so far on Asus' site showing models that will support the feature set. Wasn't there also a firmware version that the standard AX86U won't get that means it's a "no?"

    Beta RT-AX86U_Pro Beta firmware 9.0.0.6.102_3506

Interesting. If it were not so time consuming, I might try the IoT guest network pro to see if I could replicate what you're experiencing. Connected to the WiFi guest network, you should not be able to access a device on your LAN. You could make sure that - on the GN-P config page - the Access...

    Beta RT-AX86U_Pro Beta firmware 9.0.0.6.102_3506

I am running the beta firmware on my RT-AX86U-Pro, but I have not tried working with the IoT Guest Network Pro settings, so I can't say what exactly this distinction is (compared to the guest network selection in the Guest Network-Pro (GN-P) interface. I haven't found documentation explaining...

    Beta RT-AX86U_Pro Beta firmware 9.0.0.6.102_3506

A couple of observations... Background I've been running this beta firmware on my router* for a while now, incrementing my way closer towards the configuration I want. I have set up a couple of guest networks: one was set up before installing this beta firmware via the 'normal' guest network...
