    Release ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24339 (2025/04/21)

Aha nice, thanks for checking - I should have done that 😅 Yeah, I don't care about the flash storage. My concern was more about what code they may have added to drive such a jump in the file size.

    Release ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24339 (2025/04/21)

See screenshot below - looking at unzipped sizes directly from the Asus site. Big jump of 24MB with a tiny update between the last two versions...

    Release ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24339 (2025/04/21)

Slightly odd that the size of the firmware ballooned with this latest release... The last 20+ releases before this have been <75MB, but this version is over 95MB. Would just "Improved compatibility with certain IoT devices" add so much to the firmware size, given it's a very minor release?!

RT-AC68U cannot delete user on cloud disk application

Hey, did you ever solve this, @mickeyboy ? I have the same issue - deleted all the other users, and I have one remaining which is NOT the default admin account. I can't edit it (trying to change the password).

    Release ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.20566

Did you hard reset and set it up manually from scratch, or just import your settings file?

Web Interface for RT-AC86U not working, need to reboot router

Any definitive solve for this issue please gents? This started happening after I updated to the latest official firmware release (3.0.0.4.388.20566), and I'd love to solve this without doing a hard reset and setting the unit up from scratch... Su

    Release ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.20566

Weird issue after updating... WAN and LAN speeds seem fine, but the admin GUI is very slow, and doesn't load correctly. It's gotten to the point where it won't even load sometimes unless I power cycle the unit... Tried accessing the GUI on Chrome, FF and Edge - same issue. Did a normal upgrade...

    RT-AC68 randomly died?

Thanks @L&LD, I shall persevere... must admit though, I had a moment of weakness and just ordered an AX86S to replace it (had a Best Buy voucher burning a whole in my pocket). Oh well, if I get it working again, I guess that's an added bonus.

    RT-AC68 randomly died?

Update: left overnight (20+ hours) and tried using Rescue Mode as outlined here: https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1000814/ No dice, it still stays immediately "stuck" with those LEDs on... let me know if you guys have any other suggestions please!

    RT-AC68 randomly died?

Hi All, It looks like my RT-AC68W has randomly died :( it was being used as an AIMesh node with my RT-AX86U (main router) and has been fine for a few months. Prior to that it was used as a main router for many years. Now it seems to power on fine, but is stuck with a few of the LEDs on (LAN...
