Issue adding ZenWifi XD6S AIMESH Node to Gt AXE16000 under 388.1 firmware

Just to chime in - I have the same issue with AXE-16000 and wireless aimesh with AX11000 and AX92u. All have the latest software and will connect initially, then have issues within minutes. Worked perfectly with the AX11000 as the hub and AX92U as remote node.

AXE 16000 Aimesh problem with AX92U

Having the same problem in Jan 2023. I have an AX11000 and used AX92U as aimesh node with no problems. Connection was always shown as "great". I set up the AXE16000 from scratch, factory reset the AX92U, and it will only connect on 2.4GHz band, showing connection as "weak". I also reset...

    GT-AXE16000 Owner's Thread

Here's my experience with the AXE16000: I replaced my ax11000/RT-AX92U wireless mesh with just the E16k. I did a firmware update when it first powered on. I used the same SSIDs and passwords as on the ax11k so the 38 devices I have would all connect without me updating them. Only a few failed...

    GT-AXE16000 Owner's Thread

I've been running my ax11000 in wireless aimesh mode with my RT-AX92U for 2 or 3 years. It's worked well and been reliable. I have about 10 ports forwarded, and around 20 fixed IP addresses. I'm sure I've made other changes which I don't remember. I'd like to not have to set that all up...

AX-11000 shows AI Mesh errors, but AI Mesh is not enabled.

Looking at the event log in my AX-11000, I see this a lot: Mar 12 22:09:22 kernel: <MAC ADDRESS REMOVED> not mesh client, can't update it's ip (punctuation error is from Asus) It calls out various clients, such as a Windows PC, a web camera, and an IP phone. Yes, none of these are mesh...

    GT-AX11000 Port Forwarding

Thanks. I can turn off the forwarding of other ports on the camera, so I'll do that. I'm not sure how the other ports ended up forwarded, but it was probably me a year ago trying to figure out how to make it work.

    GT-AX11000 Port Forwarding

Thanks! Nice and simple. I was able to find the existing forwards and add my new one. I notice the other cameras which forwarded themselves forwarded 5 ports, which is unnecessary. Just port 554 needs to forward. Does it matter they forwarded all their ports? Is that like a drain on...

    GT-AX11000 Port Forwarding

I have GT-AX11000 and it works fine. I have some Amcrest security cameras connected via wifi. In order to view the cameras remotely, I have forwarded the RTSP Port on each of them to an external port. I do this by going to the UPnP menu on the camera, entering an external RTSP port number...

    AX-11000

That's much better, thanks. After 10 minutes, all I see in the log is the router checking for a firmware update. I had to enable SSH under Administration. I don't recall if I had turned that off or it's default.

    AX-11000

Thank you for answering. That's probably why I couldn't find a "solution".

    AX-11000

I have an AX-11000 on firmware 3.0.0.4.384_7997. That's the firmware it shipped with. The system log is full of entries like this: Apr 11 07:48:06 wlceventd: wlceventd_proc_event(392): eth6: Deauth_ind 44:2A:60:CD:E9:93, status: 0, reason: Unspecified reason (1) Apr 11 07:48:06 wlceventd...
